A cheeky trip to Ropley station at the Watercress Line yesterday. Nice to visit a station and see trains come and go from time to time as opposed to being onboard
The National Tramway Museum at Crich is a unique opportunity to view the largest collection of vintage trams in the U.K. You also get the opportunity to ride on many of them with great variation and different Trams to ride on throughout the day. The museum is a working village with pub, cafe shops etc. Which truly brings the whole place to life
A trip to the Peak District is not complete without a visit to Peak Rail. Preserved line which meets with the mainline at Matlock
A sunny trip to Swanage railway, treated with two classic Southern railway Locomotives in steam
Flying Scotsman on the approach to Winchester 3/6/17
Attended Rotarail in Fareham last weekend. Fund raiser for the Fareham Rotary Association
Beautiful Black 5 (5MT) 'Camelot' at The Bluebell Railway Flying Scotsman Flying South event. Steaming nicely out of the photogenic Horstead Keynes station

More of the magnificent Scotsman
A Fantastic day Good Friday shooting the legendary Flying Scotsman on the beautiful Bluebell Railway. More pictures to follow!
Sorry to be quiet for a while. Had an early morning call yesterday informing me of a steam excursion travelling through the Portsmouth line. I quickly got myself down to just north of Fareham Train station to catch ‘Lord Dowding’ (actually loco Braunton in disguise)
Steam train day out (67) by cj_iom Via Flickr: Winter photography trip, aboard one of the local steam locomotives that run on the narrow gauge line between Douglas & Port Erin.
A railway and part of the UK I am desperate to travel to!

I made a special effort to travel East on the South coast of Britain to Tenterden’s Railway also known as the Kent & East Sussex Railway. the 10 and a half mile journey has many stops and beautiful views from the window. At one end of the line you have the quaint market town of Tenterden with unique locally run shops and restaurants. The other end of the line you have Bodiam Castle, a relatively complete castle dating back to the 14th Century. This railway makes for a great layout with fantastic variety along with unusual locomotives for steam buffs to enjoy.
