Learn how to do Shadow Puppetry with our class this coming September 20! Relieve your childhood memories and create amazing shows out of light and a couple of paper. The class would be conducted by John Moran, a professional theater actor and a lover of cooking. He's been into shadow puppetry since 2009.
Catch his class at the Trade School Manila HQ! Don't forget to bring old paper folders, cutter, glue, cellophane, barbecue sticks, pencil, and scotch tape for the workshop.
You may bring any of the following as your barter item:

So do you want to learn how to create your very own rubber stamp? Aside from it being cute, it's also a great way to customize your giveaways or even gift wrappers and stationaries! This weekend, let Ms. Fatima Espinosa teach you the basics from creating rubber stamps from scratch. She'll give you handful of techniques, materials, and tips on how you can maximize your hand crafted stamp. Don't forget to bring your own wood carving tools/lino cutters (available at National Bookstore), rubber erasers and/or soft carving rubber carving blocks, cutting mat (you can improvise as long as it prevents the table from being scratched), Xacto knife, pencil (preferably HB or darker), tracing papers, stamp pad, and blank postcards/greeting cards/notebooks. Feeling much better when you doodle or when you draw or even color? Then this class might be the one for you! This coming September 27, Trade School Manila would be offering an Art Therapy class. It doesn't matter if you know art or you're not good at it -- this class would focus on the process rather than the outcome! Besides, art is art, there is no such thing as good and bad, only beautiful art.
The class would be facilitated by Mariel Sandico, a multimedia designer and educator from Quezon City. She's currently managing an artist volunteer collaborative that aims to empower the youth through the arts.

Learn how to address your family and friends in Japanese! The second installment of Nihongo Basics is coming your way this September 6 at Commune. By the end of this class, you'll be able to learn how to introduce people as well as how to hold very simple conversations in Japanese. You'll also be introduced to Katakana, and eventually be friends with this Japanese writing system in just one session!
