How to do that? It’s simple: grab a pen and a paper and write encouraging things, or just something like “you look good today” and hide it in various spots.

For example, write “the weather is cold, but your smile warms my heart” and hide it in a sock that you only use in the winter. Or if you drink tea, when you want to calm down, write “you got this, breathe” and put the paper in the drawer, where you keep the tea.
