After some delay I have finally gotten around to posting chapter five!!! So for those of you who don’t know what the story is about, it follows Dream who is figuring out what to do because Nim has handed his powers over to a Sans who’s like 12.

There was no consent on Dreams part for this to happen in the first place, so both of them end up being in the dark about what to do. Dream ends up promising this Kid that he would train him to use the powers, the Sans agree’s as long as their Papyrus is able to come along too.

In other words Dadream, and accidental adoption lol.

This chapter focuses on Killer and Cross who have been sent back from a mission by Nightmare after Dream had successfully gotten the kids out of their AU.

Cross is forced to make a choice after some emotional manipulation by Nightmare

so canonically, there IS a way for Dream to save Nightmare, but it would kill himself in the process… or melt his arms off.

okay but WHAT IF Nightmare got saved, and actually hated it? Like.

He’s back to something like his old body. He’s smaller. He looks like a child. He’s more vulnerable. And now he feels weaker, like he’s 5 again and being taunted and abused, and now he doesn’t have anything to protect himself.

And his gang? His subordinates, who have somehow accidentally become his closest friends? What will they think? Will they abandon him, for he's no longer their powerful leader?

And so he's terrified. He hates Dream even more, for what he's done to him.

And so the last thing he says to Dream is a question. Did he even care at all? He liked his new life better. He didn't WANT to be saved. Did he actually care about 'making his brother happy,' or did he just selfishly want things as they used to be?

I like the idea of every sans having their own style that makes them stand out from each other.

Like Error would be pixel art or 3D art that is very focused on shapes.

Geno would be watercolors with colored pencils, and crayons.

I imagine Fresh would be more of a 90's comic book style, whether it is realistic or cartoony. I feel like both could fit him. OR he could be hyperpop, but I guess this also works with Error.

Of course this are just my headcanons, but wouldn't it be cool?

Nightmare: By now you know who I am. *Points with a tentacle at Killer* This is my second in command, Killer. Despite his behaviors and mannerisms, he is reliable in completing whatever task I ask of him.

Killer: hiya! *twirling a knife*

Nightmare: ... be mindful when he is bored. Killer tends to like being active. *Pointing at Dust* This is Dust, my third in command. Do not even think of getting anything past him. He is very observant.

Dust: *Just shrugs*

Nightmare: He is also fairly quiet and falls asleep easily...*Points at Horror next* Here is Horror. He is the finest tracker in all the multiverse, an excellent cook, and the muscle of this team.

Horror: hello, pal. *grinning*

Nightmare: Do not turn your back on him or enter a dark room and turn on the lights without looking for him first. Horror is rather fond of 'jump scares.' *Points at Cross* Now lastly, we have Cross. He is the youngest of this group, but a very skilled fighter. Cross is also the more polite and civilized one here.

Cross: *smiles a waves* (thinking to self: please leave it at that. please just leave it at that)

Nightmare: *Naturally does not leave it at just that* He also is the winner of a 2023 Sexyman poll among AU Sanses that thousands of mortals voted on.

Cross: *Dying of embarrassment* boss... why...?

Nightmare: Take pride in your accomplishments, Cross.

The bottom one I did first, I was doing for my fic. Bc fic art SLAPS, and I had found a brush that I had used twice in like 2021 on Ibis paint. It BLENDS the colours so freaking well together!!!!!

The first one I did just because, it’s also my first time drawing Killer so I hope I didn’t do too bad :D
