@trampus79
Something happened tonight that should stop you cold, and it happened before Trump said a single word.
Three of the five major broadcast and cable news networks — ABC, CNN, and NBC — declined to carry a live address from the President of the United States.
CBS and MS NOW aired portions, then cut away so correspondents could fact-check him in real time.
Only Fox News ran the whole thing unedited.
Networks don't do this for fun.
Live presidential addresses are the easiest programming in television.
They did it because they've spent six years airing his election claims and then spending the next week correcting them — and this time they checked the documents first.
The declassified files he waved around tonight don't show a single altered vote, and the newsrooms knew it going in.
The president gave a speech so predictable in its falsehoods that the press pre-fact-checked it by refusing to air it.
That's not media bias.
That's a credibility score.
He earned it one lie at a time.
This is perverse and obscene.
