Cassius nodded and lifted herself off the couch. She figured it didnât matter which room she took, so she walked to the left side of the suite. She pulled open a french door and stepped inside, immediately blinded by the bright sunlight beaming through another large window.Â
In front of her stood a large four poster bed complete with a sheer canopy and plethora of pillows. She shut the door quietly behind her and glanced around the room, trying to locate a bath. In the corner of the room there was a chaise lounge, in another a small tea table and two chairs.Â
Another door was opposite the window, and opening it revealed a claw-footed porcelain tub filled with steaming water and a wash-basin. A chic shelf held many different bottles of oils and salts, and a small dish on the side of the tub proudly displayed a few small bars of soap in the shape of seashells.Â
She took a well earned, indulgent bath and by the time she emerged her pruned skin practically shone with vitality. She donned a fluffy robe and entered the living space where Atlas waited.Â
Smiling warmly she jutted her thumb behind her. âDunno if your room has one, but the bath in mines free,â she explained, then plopped back down on the couch.
While Cass was gone, Atlas chose to explore a bit. He entered the other bedroom and stripped down of his outer layers down to just some loose pants that cut off at the knees and a tight tunic.
He flopped down on his stomach and just felt the cushion envelope him. âThis must be what heaven is like in the scripture,â the thought and nuzzle his head against a feathered pillow.Â
Atlas took a couple tries before finding the bathroom. He let out a long sigh and turned on the water for a quick rinse just to et the dirt and junk our of his feathers and hair. He finished quickly then scrubbed at the underside of his feet. They were almost black from the amount of dirt he tread.
Once he was all done he put on some extra loose fitting clothes and sat back on a couch in the main room. He was beginning to braid his hair back when Cass walked out of her room dressed in a robe.
âYeah I washed up a bit,â he explained, âI donât take long showers or anything like that, thatâs way too much information and I donât know why I told you that, sorry.â His face reddened a bit.Â
