hello there! we're kris (they/them) and we made this blog so nonbinary people can share and discuss their positive experiences :D

some basic guidelines:

bigotry or hatred of any kind will be deleted and not acknowledged.

asks will be added to queue unless we screw up.

please let us know if we say anything incorrect!

nonbinary joy is positive experiences everyone under the nonbinary umbrella (genderqueer, bigender, demigender, etc.)

do not use AGAB language in your submission.

I listened to ego renegade boy for the first time and it makes the part of my brain where gender lives so so so so so happy!!! I'm not sure what exactly i consider myself as but it just feels so good to listen!!

my awesome nonbinary friend who usually presents quite fem is wearing an androgynous outfit to their school dance and asked me about where i get my binders. i'm so happy to be spreading the trans 🥹

I have a teacher whom asks everyone if they’d prefer to go by a different name than their legal one and their preferred pronouns whenever they have a new class!

I used to think everyone who used my pronouns was just pretending to see me as who I am, but didn't actually see me that way.

Recently I've finally allowed myself to believe them when they gender me correctly, reference me being non-binary, exclude me from gendered contexts, etc.

It took a lot of self love and trust to say: "it is possible for someone to love me AND know me". And I'm not all the way there, but we've made it a long way.

for pride month (and in general) my best friend likes to send me bi themed posts on Instagram

today she went "wait you're nonbinary right" and started doing the same with enby themed posts AND asked if I wanted a change of pronouns

completely unprompted!!!! I love her so much, the power of friendship truly does exist

(I may or may not have cried after seeing the bit about pronouns. I don't even care what pronouns she uses I'm just happy shes so accepting)

i go to an alternate schooling program for kids with drug/mental health issues, and the one guy that kept misgendering me and Not Listening to everyone correcting him on my pronouns left yesterday!!!! i'm free and everyone uses my pronouns correctly now!!!

my speaking voice is androgynous. my singing voice has given others gender envy. i'm so proud of both!

Nonbinary joy is my manager correcting people on my pronouns even when I'm not around.

Nonbinary joy is ribbing off with my uncle, and when he playfully says, "Now young lady," with a silly wagging finger and I say, "You got me on the young part, but I'm not a lady," he goes "Aghh!" In playful defeat.

Nonbinary joy is my cousin and his wife never asking me to limit or censor my gender around their 3 year old.

Nonbinary joy is a cis person waiting for me to get back to apologize for misgendering me.

Nonbinary joy is the cis host of the open mic I frequent automatically using they/them for everyone he announces to the mic.

Nonbinary joy is knowing my makeup is masculine and my dresses are neutral

This is my first Pride Month after accepting myself as non binary. I’m so happy that I can celebrate with everyone even if I’m not out. I love my she/he/they pronouns and dressing however I want in private. I’m excited to see how my identity develops in the future.

Because it is now pride I’m taking the opportunity to come out to more of my friends! The goal is to come out to my parents before my bday (which is in the middle of the month) but I decided to ease into it with people who aren’t as affected by it (even though I know they’d be normal)

someone asked me if i was a girl or a boy and i responded "neither" and they said "okay :)"

My native language does have singular "they" pronoun but it's used specifically for objects, plants or babies and I don't really like how it sounds this much so I'm on my way to figure out how I wanna be addressed and my friends just jump between every pronoun available to our language so it's easier for me to figure out!!!!!

Being LOUD & PROUD & DOWN RIGHT ANNOYING about my gender & pronouns YEAR ROUND bc pride for my identity shouldn't be condemned to one month or to JUST non binary visibility day.
