Girl why are you casually falling into concrete?

Soooo I managed to trip and fall while working on housewares over the prong on a forklift because someone (my new manager) left it in the walkway instead of putting it away properly under a pallet. I landed almost fully on my knee in our warehouse which has a concrete floor 🙃

Now I know I’m going to get a lot about how I should sue or seek legal action but I’m afraid of getting subpar medical care on worker’s comp and I don’t want to lose my job. I’m fielding 4-5 calls a day at work inquiring about an interview or their job application status, which just signals to me how atrocious the current job market is and how financially fucked most of us are right now. I’m petrified of losing my job and not being able to afford to stay on my state market exchange insurance.

The whole mess is a capitalist nightmare and I’m trying to take what time I have between medical care and work to apply elsewhere but I’m a terrible interviewer (once started sobbing and literally got up and left because I was so anxious). But I’m going to keep trying, just don’t want to burn any bridges so I can at least get a recommendation for a different position.
