Bone Witch Hayden and her reanimated best friend/guard dog Theo
Hayden never meant to raise her best friend from the dead. She hadn't even known she was capable of such magic, but she got a close up introduction to it once Theo rose up out of his coffin during his own funeral, not dead but not quite alive either: her first familiar. Afterwards, she quickly realizes that she and Theo now have even more of a bond, including a telepathic connection and a deeply-rooted devotion to each other. All that really mattered was that her friend was back, one way or the other.
Soon, people in high places take notice of her power and her name quickly spreads across the land like wildfire. She's then whisked away to a far-away city to be trained by others like her so that she doesn't fall victim to the lure of the darkness. She learns how to heal others, how to cast magical spells, and how to fight the demonic beasts roaming the countryside.
Along the way the two of them meet some interesting characters, including Liam, the prince of the kingdom who captures Theo's attention, and his devoted general Tracy, who gets under Hayden's skin in a way she quickly becomes addicted to.
Throughout her adventures and training, Hayden realizes that the darkness she holds inside of her won't be so easy to overcome. Will she master it, or will it master her?

Reasons People Aren't Watching Star Wars (the original trilogy) With Stiles
Scott: At first it was about not being much of a movie guy but at this point it's about the bit. It's enrichment for them.
Allison: She'll never ever mention this where it could get back to Scott but the idea of spending like 6+ hours listening to Stiles talk over these movies is not super appealing to her.
Lydia: As if she'd ever stoop to endure this blatantly sexist semi-incestuous half-assed whitewashing fantasy. Honestly, Stiles, a metal bikini? It's just a complete waste of time when she could be watching the cinematic brilliance that is The Notebook.
Jackson: Stiles sucks and so does Star Wars. He'd sooner watch The Notebook again. Or stick a fork in his eye.

Love teen wolf's approach to werewolf mythology just being everything is true don't question it. Lycan was probably real and hanging with celtic druids, so was the beast of gevaudan, you need to bitten by an alpha to be turned but you can also drink rain water out of a wolf's print, also its hereditary, there is a guilt based eye color system, you need to kill an alpha (or inherent after their death) to become an alpha except sometimes the universe decides someone is a good enough person that they should just get to be one anyway, sometimes getting turned by a werewolf will turn you into a completely different creature because "who you are represents the form you take" but there is no formula for this, werewolves can look like humans with glowing eyes and fangs and they can look like actual wolves, and they can look like large monstrous beasts, the full moon can kinda do whatever we need it to, calling a werewolves christian name will cure them but not of werewolfisim just of evil mind control transformations, etc.

“Are you sure this is going to work?” Isaac asked.
“No. Get going, everyone. We don’t have time to waste.”
Scott heard Isaac grumble in displeasure, but he still separated from Theo and came to stand next to Scott and Boyd. Scott caught him staring longingly at Theo, who was already arguing with Stiles and Erica on the best course of action. The display tugged at Scott’s heart a bit, sympathy bleeding in as he thought about being separated from Allison, but he gently redirected the emotion. It wasn’t too large of a club, so it wasn’t like they were miles away from each other, and Scott was sure that Isaac and Theo could survive being separated for a little bit.
“We saw him come in over there, so that’s where we should start,” Boyd said, pointing out the air vent on the opposite side of the room. The metal grate was barely hanging onto the wall, looking like someone had pushed it out of the way and had caused some serious damage in the process.
“You think someone would have heard him break it,” Isaac pointed out. “Maybe we should talk to the people over there?”
“It’s pretty loud in here,” Scott countered, “and not everyone has our level of hearing. It was probably covered up.”
“That, and we don’t want to start a panic by asking people if they’ve seen a giant lizard man crawling around on the ceiling,” Boyd added.

It wasn’t as if Theo had never seen a merman before. He had seen plenty, in fact. Liam’s tail, however, blew every single other man, human or not, out of his mind. Unlike Hayden’s streamlined and aerodynamic tail, Liam’s was powerful, stocky and built for breaking through powerful currents. Bright red scales reflected the sunlight as Liam literally swam in circles around Theo’s floating form. He couldn’t see the bioluminescence in the daylight, but he could make out shimmering clear scales running down Liam’s side, across his cheekbones, and on the backs of his forearms. He knew they would be glowing had they been underwater, or if it had been nighttime. That was a sight he’d have to see one day.
“It’s red,” Theo said, sounding dumbfounded even to his own ears.
“Yeah, I noticed,” Liam retorted dryly.
“Red’s the first color you lose in the ocean. What evolutionary reason is there for red scales?”
“There are tons of red fish in the sea. Why can’t I be one of them?”
“With how deep merpeople live? I don’t think there are any red fish that far down.”
“Are you going to dissect the reason for some merpeople having red scales or are you going to swim with me?”
ignore that this took me two weeks to answer, things have once again been really rough haha. but this chapter is almost done!! it should be finished and polished enough to post it soon :)
“Are you serious?” Nolan eventually spat. “You stayed single all these years looking for ‘the one’, but now you’re here fucking two vampires? This is what you finally settle on?!”
“I love them,” Liam said simply. He moved to put his body between Nolan and his two vampires. Hopefully he could try and stop Nolan should his brother attack, but he was hoping it wouldn’t come to that.
“You can’t love them! They’re disgusting! You’re disgusting!”
With a snarl, Theo took a step forward. Liam knew he was just aiming to intimidate Nolan, but Nolan still cursed and aimed his crossbow at the vampire.
Liam didn’t even think before moving. He stepped in the path of the arrow, blocking it from reaching Theo even as it embedded itself in the base of his throat.
Nolan’s legendary aim at least still lived up to its reputation.

Hayden shoved Liam, hard enough to send him sprawling in the sand. Theo only laughed at his boyfriend.
“You’re both dickheads,” Liam growled. “I don’t know why I put up with either of you!”
“You put up with me because I’m your best friend and you would have been dead a long time ago had I not been in your life, and you put up with him because he has a big dick.”

Summary:
Theo doesn’t go back in the cage. He’s allowed to hose himself down and drag himself with a small meal back to his cot in the cell. The door is closed, but the lock doesn’t click into place.
Theo doesn’t eat. The bowl of meal sits on his trembling knees as he presses his hands flat under his thighs and rocks back and forth on the edge of the cot, mouth opening and closing, eyes distant and cold as glass.
You crouch in front of him.
“Theo,” you try again, the first time in years.
“Tara,” he says, shocking you. Your eyes widen. “I wish you were here.”
But he’s not looking at you. Through you, perhaps, but at the wrong angle.
“It wasn’t worth it,” he says. “It wasn’t. It wasn’t. It wasn’t.” His breaths are wet, but his lashes stay dry. “Not for your heart. Not for it to be treated this way.”
“Theo,” you cry out.
It’s his twelfth birthday. It feels cruel that now, in more ways than one, you’ll never be his big sister again.
