Saw a tiktok thats making me see blood
I will never get used to seeing people reblog my teen wolf posts with #tw, I'm like "damn what's triggering about this? I guess people can be pretty sensitive sometimes". Like no I'm a fucking idiot it stands for teen wolf and yet every single time I get so confused
Guys I need to get bitten by an alpha right now bc I turn 20 in less than an hour and I will lose my chance to be a teen wolf!
I hate when people say that its "unrealistic" that girls weren't into stiles, they notably were. Erica had a huge crush on him and, in s3 alone 3 separate girls decide they need to sleep with him immediately, heather (vigrin sacrifice childhood friend), caitlin (other virgin sacrifice's gf at the black light party) and malia in eichan. The only girls in his year who weren't into him were scott's girlfriends (allison and kira) and lydia at first and she comes around and falls in love with him. Stiles was probably the most sought after man in that show.
Craziest teen wolf take I've actually seen in the wild is that turning someone makes you related to them and therefore scott, liam, issac, etc. are biologically Hales and this was to say that the Scalia relationship was wrong bc it was incest???
They didn't mention it but this would also apply to s6 layden and ships like Sciaasc and Berica
I just needed to tell someone about this bc how do you come to this conclusion?
One thing about Scott McCall is that he WILL be working on something behind the scenes
Sometimes it hits me how much of a emotional roller-coaster the liam/scott relationship is.
Like imagine you're scott mccall and one day there is a new freshman that's really good at lacrosse and your jealous so you accidently injure him and the then you bite him while saving his life
ten episodes later his voice/presence manages to get you to break out of the total mind-donmination of the berserker mask and kate argent when not even your best friend or girlfriend can
ten episodes later he's beating you to death while saying he would do anything to kill you
ten episodes later he is willing to give up the chance to save his best friend to keep you safe
ten episodes later you are officially appointing him the new "you" and successer to all your responsibilities
ten episodes later and your genocidal ex-step-grandfather-in-law wants to break your very soul by killing this boy, who he basically calls your son, and you send the guy who got him to try to kill you to protect him.
And all because you were out of practice at lacrosse
Obsessed with the dread doctors telling theo that he is an example of everything wrong with his generation bc like they are hundreds of years old what do they have against zillenials?
Something I like to imagine is an older Lydia and Malia having a lot of long heart to hearts about whether either of them would ever want kids. Because due to the whole passing down your powers/pontienally burdening a daughter (or even granddaughter) with being banshee respectively means that it would not be an easy decision for either of them
More teen wolf timeline confusion but chris tells malia that he watched kate kill an innocent when he was her age. Considering malia is 18 and chris is at a minimum 10 years older than kate (if he had alllison at 20, he's probably closer to 15 years older) that would mean kate was already a hunter at a very young age. Even assuming he just meant when he was younger/closer to her age, there is no way kate could have been older middle school at the absolute oldest.
This could be a mistake but I think it actually works well with her character. You don't find out about this world at 18 and become kate level evil by 21. I absolutely believe Gerard had been grooming her to be his pawn in the Argent matriarchy as like a 5 year old. He started young on the ideology thing with chris (shooting the rabid dog and all) but we know he waited to tell him. Kate probably could shoot a gun before she learned to read.
My favorite thing about thiam is that given their history together you would think they are a lot angstier than they are, but no, they are first and foremost a world class comedic duo
Between people hating scott for believing theo and people hating scott for (apparently) not forgiving theo I'm about to crash out. I wish I wasn't such a monoshipper bc I need the sceo fans to come save me from this hell
Omg I finally realized who Allison's mom remindeds me of, its Bree from desperate housewives!
So the twin are double alpha because they killed their alpha at the exact same moment but I do wonder if they are how they are bc they're twins or if anyone can do it but its just rare for those circumstances to occur. Like if Liam and Hayden tag-teamed killing Scott could they fuse?
We're all in agreement that if Scott was never bitten he would become a druid right?
I disagree with this.
I'm not being spiteful or trying to poop on anyone's parade, I just don't think Scott would have made a very good druid, given everything we know about druids on the show.
The whole point of druids is balance. They're neutral (for the most part) and only act (never directly) to "restore the balance" if everything is out of whack. That is not Scott McCall. He's incapable of seeing someone in pain without trying to help them or a bad situation without trying to make it better. It's just not in his nature.
And I say that with absolute love for the character of Scott. I love the fact that he can't just shrug and turn a blind eye. I do think that Deaton might have been feeling him out to see if he'd make a good apprentice, but ultimately that wouldn't have worked out in the long run.
If there was an offshoot of druids that acted more directly, I could totally see Scott doing that, but he would have made a bad druid (i say affectionately).
(This is super rambley so please bare with me) Prev I understand that but I think the strength of scotts moral compass comes in part from him being a werewolf. Its that he has the ability to do something and cares enough like melissa says. While the part of him that wants to help people obviously predates the bite, it being his primary motivation is something that comes about in s2 when isaac and the others get bitten and its s3 that he makes it his ethos. Even in season 1 the way he talks "I should have been there to do something" I can't protect you, I cant protect anyone" is all very tied to the responsibility of power. While I do think he would care deeply about what happens to people if he weren't bitten, he wouldnt have that same ability. Which what are the options we see from humans in this world? There are hunters, which I cant see scott doing even with the revised code, he was never a fighter even with all the power in the world and the knowledge aspect is something druids do to. And then there is the stiles approach which is essentially being a detective which is something we also see deaton do. Deaton in early season is retired (so not a proper druid) and in the later seasons is scott's emassery. I would argue he helps a lot. He is the pack's main healer which is half a vet thing but so is scott and I think scott would be good at that part. Plus in this au he could bond with and help melissa as both being "healers". He helps scott with all his plans, he advises him. He does more traveling for the greater good than anyone (he goes in solo trips to japan and I think canada) he negotiates like scott does and gets involved pretty frequently. He suggests using deucalion in s3 in a similar way scott says to use theo in s5. I wouldn't say he is properly neutral, not even as much as Morell. I don't know how much modern emasserys act like traditional druids or how kuch they have to/what are the consequences if not but that would be a fun storyline to explore. Scott is not a traditional alpha so I don't nessacarly think he would be a traditional druid which would mirror the conflict he faces as a werewolf. He is normally in a field that rewards his attitude (true alpha and all) it would be interesting what would happen if we put him in a position that doesn't nessacarly reward that. I could see a storyline with him and allison trying to change or push the boundaries of their respective fields. Under different training he might be slightly different or he might be the same, I think that would be fun to explore.
I sort of posted this as a like stiles gets bitten instead au and if I think about what scott would be to his pack (my head canon for stiles is he self-defense kills Ennis in the frayed fight and becomes an alpha around the same time as scott) and healer/advicer/strategin is what makes sense to me and that is what deaton is to scott. If neither of them got bitten then in my au for that is he ends up as Derek's emassery and same thing. I think in either situation he would be a moral adviser which we don't really see from druids but scott doesn't need it and the others don't want it and and emassery is a part of a pack so they fit to the alpha is some regard so I think he could fill that place for either of them.
Over the course of the show we see scott studying more and understanding more of the supernatural world and I think understanding the purpose of balance would be something he might struggle with but I can see him accepting and being good at (how much in internalized the regression to the mean thing). But maybe he would quit? Who knows? But it could be a big part of his character bc if he wasn't a werewolf we would have to rewrite his whole arc.
I completely understand if you disagree I just struggle to see scott as a free agent in the way stiles is and I think being a druid would give him a direct purpose like being an alpha does. Considering he would still be a druids apprentice which he already is in canon. I don't know I'm half thinking about him as a written character in a show that doesn't exist and half as a person with agency. Because if he wasnt bitten he would have probably with have found out through allison, who wouldnt have had a positive werewolf example in scott so I could see deaton stepping in to fix that if scott gains a negative opinion of the supernatural and like a deaton vs argent over scott thing like chris trying to make him a hunter. It could go so many ways but for me they all lead back to druid for me. Again sorry if this makes no sense
Losing Aiden literally made Lydia stop being a whore like its actually tragic
I mean whore colloquially not literally although I do think some of her season actions weren't necessarily morally correct, ie making out with your best friend's ex bf of less than a week that she still cares about right before watching your boyfriend's practice, however she was 16 so she gets a pass (I say from the advanced age of 19, funnily enough I used this same excuse for her at 12 but yk fictional character and all) and I don'tfeel bad for jackson bc he was doing the same. I just mean lydia in the first half of the show was very sex-driven. Her and jackson and her and aiden started as casual hookups, she was hooking up with randos the summer between s2&3, "lots and lots of fresh men". The way she talks to allison, (calling her snow white, "I do a lot of sucking just for his benefit", and kinda pressuring her (light heartedly) to have sex with scott) She was using it as a power thing in s1 and a distraction in s3 but she was very sexually confident and that was a major part of her character. Not just in number of partners but just how she acts with aiden can be kinda freaky "what am I a nun? Put them somewhere usefull" This dissappears entirely after aiden's death as we see her swear of teenage boys and there is not a moment where she is shown or mentioned to have sex or really talk about it ever again. With parrish she can act kinda horny but she never trys to fuck him which I think earlier lydia would have (given how she was moving around chris argent) and nothing happens between them. Her later relationship with stiles is one based in emotional connection and they get together before hooking up (oddly a first for both of them).
Aiden matched that side of her so well and it was something she tried to keep casual but it ended in so much pain, and especially since she had just watched jackson die (which he came back but disappeared from her life) and the pain of losing Allison that that part of her just breaks with his death. While I had some problems with that part of her (attempted age gaps both ways, cheating, and breaking girl code), it is sad that it just disappears bc of losing someone that helped her start to fix those problems with her relationship with sex (first that morality is more important by ending things with him, and then how to act with a relationship). Its another forced maturity that is such a part of her character.
