I got into sonic at around 2021, when the second movies cast was announced. Although the paramount movies were the reason I became a sonic fan, I no longer enjoy them and frankly think theyre dogshit.

I actually suck ass at video games and barely play any 😔 this affects Sonic games as well. Sad 💔

I love Sonic the Comic :3 Its my favorite Sonic comic series. My favorite character is Super Sonic and I think she should be a girl. In case it wasnt obvious.

My favorite sonic show is SatAM, I like Sally Acorn and Sonally ❤️

today I saw someone pushing the idea that Maria in the movie adaptation is better because she's not terminally ill so she's like a "normal girl" which makes her death more "tragic" and this was on reddit and it got 12k upvotes without a single mention of how ableist that is

and i'd call this a "common reddit L" if not for the fact that I've also seen this idea pushed on Tumblr too. And it makes me wanna KILL SOMEONE! TELLING ON YOURSELF, TRULY, ABOUT WHO YOU DO AND DON'T VALUE IN THE WORLD! that movie and its fans make me foam at the fucking mouth, man.

Sorry if this was asked before but what was changed between the english sa2 and jp sa2?

- In JP version, you can hear a GUN soldier talking about finding Tails and Amy in the cutscene right before the driving stage (In which Tails tries to catch-up to the president’s limo). This isn’t in the ENG version of the cutscene.

- JP Tails correctly identifies ARK as a Bernal Sphere i.e A space habitat suitable for long-term human habitation. ENG Tails incorrectly states that it is a Bernoulli spherical space colony.

- JP Sonic doesn’t shout “Yeah!” when he’s airboarding towards City Escape from the copter.

- JP Shadow was actually even more insulting towards Sonic when they meet in Prison Island’s forest/jungle, what he says basically amounts to the word “fake” being too good to apply to Sonic. Explains why Sonic gets so pissed and instigates the fight.

- JP Sonic actually let himself be recaptured by GUN so that he could have the best opportunity to find intel on Shadow. This is not stated in the ENG version and so this element of Sonic’s ingenuity is lost. In addition, JP Amy does not call him a brat when he walks off, she just tells him to wait for her.

- JP Sonic proclaims that stubborness is what saved him when Shadow expresses his surprise at his survival after the exploding capsule incident. Interestingly, Sonic brings this up again in JP Heroes when he sees Shadow after Lost Jungle.

- In Shadow’s flashback prior to Radical Highway, JP Maria implores Shadow to do something for the people of the planet in her place. Shadow misinterprets this to mean getting revenge on the people of the planet in her place.

- Rouge actually calls Dr Eggman a middle-aged man embarassingly being hysterical when he’s having a bitchfit about his threats not being taken seriously.

- JP Shadow states that Rouge is in fact the president’s specialist agent. Confirming that she is not actually affiliated with GUN in SA2.

- Gerald’s fate is made more clear in the JP script as after he is asked by his executioner if he has anything more to say (And affirms that he does not), said executioner tells the firing squad to aim. Distinctly different from the ENG script’s “Ready!”

- Gerald’s diary was much darker in the JP script, he elaborates on how revenge is what consumes his thoughts and that it scares him. He expresses shock at the sort of mindframe he’s in and even begs for someone to stop him. The next entry abruptly begins with Gerald’s voice being much more monotone and he states that he is in control of Shadow’s memories. This isn’t stated in the ENG script. 

- JP Maria actually yearned for Shadow to carry out her wishes for her in her place. She has faith that Shadow can do it because that was the purpose for his birth. When you think about it, this makes Shadow’s mission in life so much more poignant and his initial aims in SA2 a lot more tragic - He’s living out the life Maria never got to experience, to carry-out the mission she wanted to do but never got the chance to do. But he misinterpreted it to mean revenge for most of SA2.

- When the Biolizard vanishes, JP Shadow correctly deduces that it used Chaos Control.
