how come the vast majority of selfies you share are of white, skinny ppl and also no representation of any ppl with facial hair or body hair? blogs like this are a direct reason why i feel like i'll never fit in with most trans women-- no representation of anyone who looks like me

I can't even word it right. ugh. I learned my crush who I speak with online is transexual, and now I can't help but feel uncomfortable. I doesn't even really affect me. I support trans people and equality, but after finding out I can't look at her the same way. I'm sorry if this is offensive or hurtful. I really didn't mean to come here to start anything like that I just.. am confused. My question is does this make me a bad person? Stay Safe -Anon-

Well anon I think that is internalized transphobia and it’s good to recognize that. It can take time to work through these things that have been ingrained in us for so long. But as long as you work on it and try to be better, then that is ok. Also I think seeing her in person would take away some of the anxiety.

Sorry I haven’t posted in over a year! It’s been a wild year. I worked on the Elizabeth Warren Presidential Campaign in Houston and visited the Grand Canyon! I worked on campaigns in Queens and Virginia as well and was lucky enough to go to the 50th NYC Pride!
