Did he really think it was a good idea to say that to her? It wasn’t like she was some unknown shinobi. She was practically famous for being the shinobi world’s cruelest kunoichi.
"I said it before; you couldn’t take me if you tried. Get the hell out of my way."
"We can quibble about that all day but it boils down to the fact that we both have tea dates to get to." Deidara still had no intention of budging; fact of the matter was (in his mind, at least) that she could trust him more than he could her. Regardless, she'd gotten an expression not unlike the look Sasori often gave when lines were about to be pushed too far. It would certainly be interesting to say very least how things would play out from here.
"Do feel free to walk around any time you'd like though, hm."
Annoying. Completely annoying.
"Would you just leave? I don’t have time for this."
Sure, he had a point. But she wasn’t going to admit that. And she had no reason to believe he was going to just let her pass. They could circle around each other until they reached the area they needed to go to… but that would just look foolish.
"And you think I do?" Probably not the best of times to sass someone, but hey. She was doing him a favour by giving him an excuse to rest -if one could call this that- for a few moments. "I'll put it to you this way, yeah; I'm expected to keep my head down until told otherwise. In other words, even if I did have some interest in making you into a piece of art, I'd get my ass handed to me for it."
With that, the blond jumped back up onto his bird and sat, still facing the Sand shinobi. Even if things did go south, he'd now have the upper hand.
The kunoichi straightened up and attached her fan to her back, one hand still on it for emergency purposes. She didn’t trust him. Not one bit. And while she’d normally have jumped on the opportunity to go after a missing nin — his headband was the giveaway, and she was sure she’d seen him in the bingo book before — she was on a rather tight schedule.
"That’s none of your damn business. Now either get out of my sight or prepare for a fucking tornado."
"As interesting a thought as that is, you can't particularly blame me for not trusting you, hm. I don't know that you won't attack the moment my back's turned, and nor do you know that I wouldn't do the same. So unless you've got some brilliant idea as to how to remedy the situation, I'm not going to test one theory or the other, yeah."
Chickening out already? How pathetic. And after she’d worked herself up for it. She kept her gaze on him, wary. He could be trying to trick her, to get her to lower her guard and create an opening for attack. Still… she knew nothing of his jutsu. Perhaps this was the safer option. It wouldn’t do to waste all that chakra over nothing, like he’d said.
"Yeah. Whatever. Get out of my sight."
Unease thick enough to be cut through with a knife filled this whole situation still, as far as the blond was concerned. There was no way to say for sure that this woman wouldn't still try to eliminate him -he was a missing-nin, after all- despite his attempts to parley. Thus the blond showed no signs of truly leaving as he'd been instructed; it was still too dangerous.
"What's a Suna kunoichi doing so far out of her borders, anyway?" It wasn't his business and he knew it, but the tiniest shred of information could prove key in saving his hide.
The woman whipped her fan off her back and opened it to three stars. She set herself into a fighting position and stood her ground. No way was this feminine loser going to beat her. Teal eyes focused on his hands, keeping a close watch.
Cerulean eyes quickly scanned this kunoichi's body language, and especially her fan. More than likely, she was a wind user, and more than likely, that fan of hers would do nothing but whip the blond's bombs back into his face. Hand to hand was, in theory, an option, but then, it was an option that would likely end badly for him. Deidara's strong suit was certainly not in fisticuffs.
With care and slow movement, the blond pulled his hands from his bags and held them away from his body, within the woman's immediate line of sight. "By my calculations," he began carefully, "this fight won't go well for either one of us, hm. Call it what you'd like but I'm not in the mood to waste my chakra destroying landscape for nothing." Getting himself blown up without that being his exact intention wasn't what he'd signed up for at all.

Chaotic Neutral is called the “Anarchist” or “Free Spirit” alignment. A character of this alignment is an individualist who follows his or her own heart, and generally shirks rules and traditions. Although they promote the ideals of freedom, it is their own freedom that comes first. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society’s restrictions and a do-gooder’s zeal. Chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

"Oh but that's where you're wrong; I've defeated much worse in much less time." A wicked grin spread across the blond's features and lit an impish fire in his eyes. Exercise sessions for his art were always welcome.
Cockiness placed in the passenger's seat for now, nimble fingers shoved into the bag of clay on Deidara's hip, and his feet took several leaps backwards.
"You really think you can take me? Ha!"
"You're awfully confident for someone about to become my next work of art, hm."
*watches a mother and her baby at the store* *smiles gently* i cant wait to absolutely never have one of those things
She turned around to glare at whomever would dare accuse her of getting lost ( even if it was true ). ”N-No I’m not. I know zactly wh-where I am. I’m r-right here,” she shot back. Yup, she definitely knew where she was. Here, in the woods, not home. All were accurate answers and described where she was.
”I b-bet you’re the one that’s r-really lost. I b-bet you’re super de duper l-lost an’ you need my help.” Because she’s not going to admit to needing help yet. Especially since he’d seen her lost before. So this time she was going to pretend like she had everything under control. Surely nothing would go wrong with this excellently thought out plan.
"Whey-hey chicka, not going to argue with you on that, yeah," came his response, holding up his hands in surrender. She reminded him of himself at that age; getting lost a lot and denying everything. Of course, it was more than likely that they were lost for different reasons. The blond doubted this little girl was a hooligan like he had been. (And consequently still was.)
Deidara flashed a grin, then said, "Got me there, though. Would you be a lamb and help me figure out where I am?" Lying to a child may be bad on the whole, but lying to help another save face was entirely rational. At least the the bomber.
