Sometimes I sit here and think about how much more meaningful Firestar and Spottedleaf’s relationship could have been if it had been a purely platonic one. I know age doesn’t matter much to cats, but she literally was old enough to be his mother. Just imagine little baby Firepaw joining the Clan and Spottedleaf sort of watching over him and becoming somewhat of a mother figure to the new apprentice.

One day Spottedleaf hears Tigerclaw, Darkstripe and Longtail talking shit about Firepaw and just interrupts like “eXCUSE ME? What did you just say about my son!?!?” and everyone shuts up right quick.
