Al nodded and followed Clear down the path toward the dump. Even with the way the city had changed since he'd been taken to Oval Tower, he doubted he'd been down this road before as a child. It didn't look familiar at all. He wouldn't have been allowed to go to the dump back then anyway, but even if he had, there would have been no reason to.
When they arrived, his eyes widened as he scanned over the multitude of heaps of discarded items. There seemed to be a little bit of everything here - though some items were more intact than others - so while the odds of finding something so small in such a vast area were slim, the parts were likely still out there.
He nodded gratefully at Clear's offer. "That'd be great. Thanks. It'd be a little overwhelming trying to go through all of this myself," he admitted. "We'll do what we can, but if nothing turns up, it's alright. I'll start with this pile over here." Al gestured toward a towering stack of unidentified metal and trash bags then crouched down and started sifting through the edge. "So how do you know about this place?" he asked as he knocked an empty can out of the way.
Clear looked up to the various piles of garbage and discarded items as they walked. The piles steadily grew larger and in greater numbers the further they go in. Looking about the various piles he could feel how it might be a bit overwhelming to think about looking alone. So of course Clear would be happy to help!
"It's no problem at all! I'm not busy after all and it's for a good cause. While you tackle that pile I'll go to this one." The white haired man then began to head over to another pile to begin scanning through the various items, taking care to ensure he didn't accidentally miss anything. Clear hums happily as he looks through the various trashed items, taking care to look at any computer or machine part he saw.
At the question though he pauses and gives a little hum as he debates answering before finally shrugging and deciding it wouldn't hurt to answer truthfully. "I live near here in my grandfather's home. We've lived here for as long as I can remember... At least we did until he passed on..." Clear frowns momentarily before smiling again. "But it's certainly helped me know the area like the back of my hand."
