GIANT SNORLAX PLUSH FOUND DECAPITATED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN SINGAPORE

I don’t know what the hell is going on in Singapore, but clearly there’s at least one enraged Pokemon fan on the loose. Jepoy Camaliga discovered the body of a giant Snorlax plush just sitting on the curb while out and about, and the plush’s head has been completely ripped off. Looks like someone was trying to get further down the road Snorlax was blocking, but Snorlax was doing his job! The end result is a decapitated Snorlax, and one hell of a mystery. Get Detective Pikachu on the case!

It really says something about how society treats children that today I told a 13 year old I was proud of her hard work and she nearly cried into my shoulder.

This was followed by me telling her and her sister that I thought their stories about D&D were really fun and creative, and them both being flat-out shocked that “anyone actually likes listening to us ramble.”

Like. Y’all. These kids should not be surprised that adults will actually listen to them and engage with them. This should not be a weird outlier. 

Please be nice to children and treat them like people????

I watched this kid who was 9 or 10? and he begged and begged to go to this  video game store that he never got to go to, because it was a 40 minute drive- I agreed, we went, and the entire drive he lectured me on Zelda and Pokemon. I don’t care much about Zelda or Pokemon lore? but I pretended to be interested and listened enough to ask questions to keep him going. He ended up not being able to afford anything, so we drive home- almost an hour and a half just driving and sitting in the back of my car, and he tells me it was so much fun and can I babysit again?

Fucking listen to children and engage them in conversation- even letting them ramble about some shit you don’t care about and won’t remember is a huge deal for them, and it shouldn’t have to be, but it is
