No idea mate but I asked my dad and he said it’s something to do with medieval peasants and how they weren’t seen as worthy enough to be part of the ‘public’.

So I asked him again and basically rich people went to schools that were privately owned. Peasants didn’t go to school. Peasants weren’t seen as part of the public, therefore rich ‘members of the public’ went to ‘public’ schools. Because peasant rights weren’t a thing.

And all girls or all boys schools are called grammar schools. And when I learned that my stupid American mode turned on and I just went “What?” For like three minutes

Yeah I used to go to an all girls grammar school but you can only go to those if you pass exams called 11+ exams (you’re usually 11 when you take them) and the people who score within a certain percentage (the highest scoring) will get into that school.

how did you get banned on soundcloud?

A month ago during the “soundcloud is going down” scare I wrote a script that basically downloaded my entire corner of SoundCloud at incredibly abusive speed and got bandwidth-banned for a month since CloudFlare detected it as a mass DDOS (which is fair I mean I was downloading like terabytes of data)
