Breaking my silence I do enjoy RPF but not in the weird way. I don't condone shipping IRL children, siblings, and anything of that sort ; nor do I ever want to bring my shipping to the attention of the people I'm shipping. I just like reading the occasional davisdurst or Siegfried and Roy fanfic (plus I feel like S&R don't count because they were romantically involved)

And history repeats itself: Antina and her design

How many times have anti-tans made Nazi-themed mascots but turned them black to disguise their actions? This is the second time it's happened, and each time it gets more ridiculous. So far, the only Anti-tan design that doesn't scream "LONG LIVE CENSORSHIP AND PERSECUTION" is this one. I might even find it cute and not so malicious, since the artist wishes us a "recovery," but that's just a romanticization of the ideas and actions of anti-tans.

Returning to Antina, I find it hilarious that she represents self-proclaimed "normal" people. If I'm going to be picky about what her design conveys, I could easily classify her as a villain, both because of the colors, which are literally the most basic palette when it comes to creating an evil character; the shapes, which are almost all triangular; and her body language (including her face), conveying superiority, a lot of hatred, and I can even say she's threatening, given the gesture with her hand. Something that strikes me as odd is that she was clearly created with the intention of being a "pro-shipper killer," but she doesn't have clothes comfortable enough to do so. Normally, I wouldn't find that a problem, but these people take fiction too seriously, and I can't help but notice.

One point I'll make about Anita is that Antina doesn't have a weapon-wielding arm and instead just a robotic one. Plus, the artist didn't include a corpse this time, just left her on a rock.

Personally, I notice that two of the three mascots look practically the same so far; they even have the same name. From what I understand, they were supposedly created by the same person, but introducing a "new" character who has the same message as another one you've shown before, only for them to end up being the same, is silly. It's easier to say that Antina is a redesign of Anita, but I'm not going to expect much creativity from someone who thinks that because something happens in fiction, it will happen in real life.
