fish is a minor npc from my dnd campaign. she is a nixie who appears as a school of fish underwater, and humanoid on land.

this mini diorama is made of clear & blue plastic sheets and 3d printed fish. the plastic box is empty inside; the fish are all glued to each other and to the top of the box.

i say please and thank you. i express my gratitude for the invite. i politely listen and know when to hold my tongue. i read the room. i get up and gather the empty mugs we used to drink the homemade chai.

i'm on the last pot when i'm told not to worry about doing the dishes. "i like doing these things" i respond.

i mean it. i want to hear the journal entries and understand what they mean, i don't mind taking care.

yes, i will run my fingers through my friend's hair while they rest in my lap. then i will clean up and put on my shoes and coat.
