Give us a Smile! Meet Ardens, the villain for my story. He’s an author, gallery manager, and most recently, a politician in the running for the position of Moon. I’ll give more into the world building and that stuff, but Stars are alive and the Moon is a rotating job position fulfilled by mortals. I hate him!! I draw him so much.

This is when he was younger, like 29-30 years old with his “girlfriend” Pomona! I despise their relationship. And as a treat have a little baby Ardens.

So I really don’t post about my OCs all that much but since I’m reworking their story I think it’s worth the shot of getting more comfortable sharing them! I’ll make a few more posts with the art I have so far for them and the little blurbs I have written for them I’ll put somewhere (maybe here, maybe ao3, we’ll see!) I’ll make a context post once I get more of the story figured out. But for now: meet Martha (at least, that’s what our main character thinks she’s called) and Earnest, the little guy at the bottom! These two are currently in a dream where Martha’s delivering a prophecy to her favorite mortal painter to bring to life.

Wow those boys sure are bizzy!! Meet Lyftabitha (she/he/they) and Dryvette (she/her) my lil goobers!! Lyf is the Bizzyboy in the Ferris Wheel in the cove! I think he gets motion sickness and is a bit of a wimpnervouswetwipe. Dr is the driver of the Bizzyboy’s campaign van, AKA Inspekta’s next closest trust buddy! She and Capo argue a lot but it’s all for laughs and giggles!! Together I think Lyf and Dr have a Loser Niece and Cool Aunt vibe to ‘em!!

GREAT GOD GROVE FANS!!

Please guys I am so so lonely in this bite-sized fandom reach out to me let’s groove and chat and write and brainrot. I also have characters ! That I’m Workshopping! I’ll put em under the cut to avoid clogging your feed but yes please talk to me about Great God Grove I fear I may be loosing my mind about it !!

Meet Pelph the God of Wealth and Sochdolager (Soch-Dol) the God of Beauty!! These two were the closest of friends, believing that there was wealth in having a beautiful friendship like theirs! Wealth and Beauty came in abundance before those letters arrived. The one for Pelph told him that real Wealth came from owning coin, crown, and real estate. He got confused before he sent off to undo the financial prosperity he helped bring in when he was human. Meany-while, Soch-dol’s letter came telling her that she was a broken thing that needed to square down and fly right like the rest of the normal looking folk around her. She got upset and turned around, meddling in human affairs to try and beautify her little slice of town.

Speaking of town, their level would be called something like Abundants and would be like HobbyHoo’s level with a split between the more citylike scape for Pelph and the more natural landscape for Sochdolager’s half. There would be a trading puzzle where value would have to be assigned to certain objects that citizens are trying to sell and that would open up Pelph’s eyes to what alls happened, while to get Soch-Dol aware you’d need to water certain plants with compliments (I dunno half-baked ideas…). In canon I’d put them both younger than Click-Clack but older than Inspekta.

A little fun idea that I’m playing with: they’re twins! Pelph ascended first and Sochy followed 33 years later after her brother. I think that time apart + god forgetfulness put a weird strain on their relationship and I think that’d be an interesting thing to explore!! I’m still workshopping them but I’m thinking of maybe composing their theme or doing a little sketch-a-roonie of their level

fanfiction is a rare gem and a solid, living proof that, in a world of tiktok, influencers and content posting, not everything is about money and going viral. art can still be art just for the sake of the artists’ pure love, joy and passion for the art they create. fanfic writers write 100k words and more about the characters they love for free. just because they love these characters and the art of writing so much. art is not dead and the world is still beautiful.
