I don't know how "original" this character truly is, design-wise! Context is, I fell head over heels for the unused design of CHEESE from Monster Roadtrip, and decided to give my take on that design a life of his own as a character.

His name is Wax, the Ghost of Parties Future. A DJ by trade, he has access to music that hasn't been released (or even made) yet, as well as music from other timelines (but not other dimensions!).

He often manifests on the setlists of festivals which the Ghosts of Parties Past attend, which simultaneously guarantees them a spot on the VIP list.

Three spooky gals who are friends.

More of my idle musings about my she/her Brian AU: Vicky and Zoe are the ones who helped her figure it out. Fanlore (and Monster Prom spoilers) under the cut!

Brian was never been much of a highly emotional or philosophical type. So when he started questioning his gender, it was a shock to him that it was something he actually felt very strongly about. He confided in Vicky first of all, who suggested they talk to Zoe.

Whereas Zoe felt very sure of what she was and wanted to be, very shortly after she was summoned, Brian wasn't exactly sure what it was he wanted. Where Zoe had struggled with acceptance from others, Brian didn't seem as concerned about that, but wanted to make sure he did the right thing for himself.

Fast forward and Brian is happier than she's ever been. Ostensibly she's still her same old chill self, with a bottomless appetite and all-or-nothing energy, but she feels like she finally solved an issue that had been sitting just under the surface her whole undeath, and she's grateful to her two best friends for showing her the way.

An Announcement

As some of you may know, I've gone on a temporary hiatus from my previously prolific fanfiction writing. This is mainly due to a high volume of work required for my PhD, and other things I'm going to have to be on board for over the next few months.

That said, I want to make this post to tease a few fics I've been planning, and also hold myself accountable to write them when I can. They are:

Chapter 3 of Three Course Meal, a Sawyer/Ventagram story. Chapter 3 will feature Sawyer x Dahlia.

A new installment of the Soul Squad series, featuring Aaravi getting mixed up in the Polly/Milo/Damien/Zoe-cule shenanigans. Involving some magic portal toys and other fun cursed objects.

An untitled Hope/Miranda story, involving some BDSM mixed with cutesy fluff and character study. Mutual character development and rarepair ahoy.

An untitled Scott Pilgrim story, taking place within a variation of the canon of the Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime, rather than of the original comic. It's likely to involve Scott/Wallace, Roxie/Julie, and Kim/OC (shock and horror!).

I'll publish some art and a bio of the Scott Pilgrim OC in question soon, before I even start on the fic, so if you love cringe, stay tuned for that.
