connecting adjectives with “而”
而 (ér) can be used to connect two adjectives…
…with contradictory meanings eg. 我弟弟那么聪明而懒。 My brother is smart but lazy.
or
…with complimentary meanings eg. 李娜很聪明而用功。 Li Na is smart and hard working.
many sentence structures in Chinese require adjectives to either contradict or compliment each other, but 而 doesn’t have this requirement, making it very versatile and useful!

Submitting an assignment early, knowing you’ve completed it to the best of your ability. Reading for pleasure. That feeling of limbless relaxation after a good workout. Unearthing all your buried interests and falling in love with them over and over again.

Why graphics in Chinese? Personally I learn Chinese and I want to talk about many issues with my friends from China. Now I want them to know and understand what is happening in my country! And I know plenty of you learn Chinese as well! So I guess for some of you this post might be also useful if it comes to learning the language.
