Happy TU bShvat! Here are 3 things you should know:

1. TU bShvat is the new year or “birthday” of the trees!

2. Yesterday’s hostage situation was an undeniable act of ANTISEMITISM; the perpetrator chose to take Jews as hostages because he believed we control the world and could meet his demands.

3. It was the RABBI who freed himself and the two remaining hostages last night - this is important because the rabbi used skills he had learned in case of a situation like this, because situations like this are NOT unexpected to the Jewish community.

The grocery store! Eeeeevery once in a while, about once a year, grocery stores get nice tropical plants and sell them for $15. This has happened to me at Publix, Wegmans, and Kroger.

hello! your plants look very lovely, i love your shelves and general setups i just cant fathom.. how do you manage to grow succulents in teacups and such? doesnt the lack of drainage present a massive issue? i have quite a few cacti and succulents and i dont dare to put them in containers without drainage. you must have a really good watering regimen to be succeding like that!

It’s only been a problem once or twice for me. I only ever water when the soil is dry

Plant Growth - Alocasia Regal Shields

This is June 2019 vs June 2021. Two years of love, consistency and patience. Look at the size of the damn leaves... I'm in love! 💚

✓Bright to Medium indirect light.

✓Let the soil dry the top inch of soil before watering again.

✓I add a couple of coffee grounds twice a year.

✓They like medium to high humidity.
