I got to run around today in Newport RI.
Last night Papa’s took me to one of their friends house. I played with their daughter all night. We had so much fun chasing each other. She gifted me cupcake.
We saw these two herds of antelope on our walk this morning. I don’t pay that much attention to them until they run.
Papas took me out to a place called Veedawoo State Park west of Cheyenne. Papa Allen used to bring their other dogs here to run. So now Hannah, Halley, Karma and me have all got to run around in the wilderness. It is stunningly beautiful.
These creatures were on the hill then they came down right next to the RV. I’m fine tuning my growling. They just stare at me, don’t move, just stare. So annoying, but the Papa’s love them.
This morning on our walk, we were being watched by this small herd of antelope. They are protected on the base but often roam the town. I’m fascinated at the wildlife here in Wyoming. There are all these holes in the ground from ground squirrels and other animals. I keep sticking my nose in them and Papa Allen keeps pulling me out warning me something might bite me.
Overlooking our campsite here in Wyoming.
Driving around Cheyenne today Papas found the Sinclair gas station that still had a dinosaur out front. Apparently there’s not many left, but Cheyenne has two that I saw.
Traveled across Nebraska today on travel day 3. Arrived Cheyenne, Wyoming. Will be here for a week. Papas used to live here and they promise to show me the town.
This is my place in the truck when riding with Papa Allen. It looks small, but I’m the only one back here so it’s very roomy. I can lay down and sleep when I’m not looking through over Papa Allen’s shoulder or sticking my head out the window. It was cold and rainy today, but we had air conditioning and the windows down of course.
Had to stop and rest after we got in Iowa. This is me and Papa Doug waiting for Papa Allen.
I’m still in the truck with Papa Allen for travel day 2 of 3. That’s Papa Doug ahead of us in the RV. We crossed the Mississippi River again. I think this is the third time I’ve crossed it. I’m only 4 years old!
Travel day 1 of 3 down. I rode with Papa Allen in the truck while Papa Doug drove the RV. We had a two hour delay as a bolt from the dolly came out. We had to stop at Lowes to get a new one. Finally made it to the East Galesburg KOA in Galesburg, IL. This is a very nice RV park. Really clean with 2 dog parks and a great play area for children.
Today I got to go with Papa Doug to check the brakes on the RV. All is well!
Last week after we left Milton we stopped outside Atlanta for a week on our way to Ohio. It was a great little wooded area on the lake.
I don’t relax much on travel days, but when I do I like to stay close to my Papas.
We are back in Ohio for a couple weeks. Papa Allen on our morning walk always takes me up to the little lake at the campgrounds. It faces east so he can greet the day in gratitude.
