I bought the weirdesf looking Barbie the other day. The fake pleather immediately disintegrated when I unboxed her but what else can you expect from a 20 year old doll? 😭

I forgot to post that I made another pumpkin girl the other day. The pumpkin was glittery so it was hard to paint. She kinda looks like those weird lil creatures in Princess Mononone to me.

I found this cute vintage Barbie knockoff at Goodwill a month ago for a dollar and since she was probably as old as I am I wanted to take her home. Today I threw together a dress made from t-shirt scraps and the WORST glitter nail polish I own and it turned out really cute actually. 🥰

That new Mattel Creations Ken looks like a character Bowen Yang would play on SNL that makes French EDM.

Rupaul is a VERY important interest to me and so... the doll is... not great. There's so many iconic Rupaul looks that they could have referenced and they chose like... an all black nothing burger of a look with wings. 😐

I got this adorable n*k*d ghost boy from Out Collector Figures' spring sale about 2 weeks ago to defend my BL shelf. I've wanted an OCF piece for so long and just so happened to have a little extra money and omg I love him he's so cute.

My spicy hot take as both a Monster High fan and a horror movie fan is... I think the 'realistic' horror art of the ghouls is stupid. I don't need to see them eating people. I came for the sparkles and pastel goth vibes.

I do want to make an edit, because tbh I think stupid was too strong a word for it and I did see an artist get upset about it. I never meant to put down the quality of the art, you are talented 100%. I DO think adding unnecessary gore to Monster High is just a fundamental misunderstanding and disregard of the actual characters though, and that part I do not enjoy. And I really freaking love horror art. But again I come to Monster High and then say... a Dario Argento film for two different reasons.

In any case, you're an artist. Nobody can tell you what to do, and in the long run my opinion actually means nothing. But I still dislike this art style in regards to Monster High. 🤷‍♂️

Hey doll friends. These keep popping up on my suggestions on Amazon and they're kind of adorable. Does anyone have them? Like them? Thoughts?

It's so wild to me when people get angry that I unbox my dolls. Like they are mine, I simply do not care how rare or expensive they are or will be. I'm not investing in them to resell. I'm buying them to play with. And it's ALWAYS non collectors saying this.

My other spicy take is that even though I love g1 and g3 equally (g3 does have more body diversity tho), I vastly prefer g1 Ghoulia over g3. I just don't love the shift from grey to pale green skin is all. It's a very minor thing.
