Ah. Of course he didn’t.
If anything, the warlock shouldn’t have expected his particular ghost to remember it, but regardless, the situation had been thoroughly dealt with. Standing, Diluc looked over his work, nudging the remaining metal with his foot. Unfortunately the parts weren’t salvageable. But one harpy usually meant there were more either nearby or incoming. “…I just don’t like these things.”
Oh please, he wasn’t a show off. There was no one here to show off to. And that was particularly related to the fact that his ability to remain tied down to a fireteam was just about impossible apparently.
“And you don’t get to decide whether or not what you do is dangerous. If you were alright on your own, you wouldn’t have found or revived me in the first place–” As he spoke, he looked around, walking around the harpy’s remains as he did in search of any more remaining enemies. For the time being, the area would remain empty– or so he thought.
Just ahead of them there were two more, but they appeared to be drifting off in a specified direction without the aid of regular combat units. Reaching out once more, he grabbed his ghost and made off after them, keeping a carefully considered distance. “Stay quiet for now.”
The ghost wanted to snipe with a question as to what his Warlock did like. It was nice though, to not have to sleep in the others lap while books grew in piles around the pair. Long hours spent studying what ever they could get their hands on. No, his Warlock fell into the active group. He wasn’t sure if that made him more dangerous or not. “I raised you cause I could, not cause I need you to protect me.” He lied, the ghost was tired of being alone. Raising the other meant an end to loneliness and another being to travel the stars with. “Hey hey!” He protested being held by the other. “If you want me to hide you can just ask.” Though the ghost made no move to disappear. Instead opting to dead weight in the Dlicu’s hand mulling through the other’s statement. “I do though. I think I do anyway...Get to pick what’s dangerous or not for me...” “What do you think they are doing?”

“Who is there ?? Why am I here ?? All things remembered, all things forgotten.” He moves from the shadows and I to the open. A crown of green energy sits on his head, heavy and bright. “I too, was a child of the Light. Now, I am repurposed for a far grander scheme.”
He looks over the distant shell and beckons the Ghost to come closer. “Do not fret. I do not feed on dusty shells and Light. Knowledge and honed edges fill my belly instead. You travel far from safety, little Light. Why ??”
The ghost shot back, blue iris blinked staring at the, guardian? The ghost stared at other scanning them. The faint traces of light were there, the tether that kept guardians connected to the Traveler frayed. It crept closer, heeding to its own need to understand. To connect the deep to the darkness that chased after traveler. “How do you feed off knowledge?” It swiveled around the cavern looking for chained crystals. Seeking for a sign of lie from the other, his eye returned to the other. “You know-” The ghost paused mulling that perhaps the former guardian forgot what ghosts did without guardians. “I’m looking for my guardian. They’re somewhere.” He hated how unhelpful the Traveler and other ghosts had been in this search. “Always looking and gathering what I can to help them.”
@travlerslittlelight // Soft Echo
The Deathsinger observed a Ghost far too curious for its own well being that floated far too close to his nest. That false sense of peace and quiet lured many to their deaths by his shattered voice. It was never his intention to make this labyrinth into a death trap, however he was given no choice. Anyone who discovered of his whereabouts could not be allowed to live in a way that matters. Toland calms his voice into a quiet hum and lends his hand out towards the Ghost.
“Little Light, little Light, oh how you sparkle in this tomb tonight.”
He chuckles and puts his hand back down to refocus his attention at the fading sigils he etched into the walls back as a man, almost as if he is admiring them.
The ghost blinked looking around the nest, it had drifted here mindlessly. Dreaming of what thier risen would be like. If they would be a what class would they pick, would they even pick one? Older risen never did, so why did his. The ghost turned scanning along the wall looking at the sigils that looked as though they had been worn away from not only years but guardians running their hands along a wall, trying to keep wits about them in this former hive nest. Atleast, he thought it was a former nest. The voice made the ghost draw back its light shinning barely catching a glimpse of the hand that. It trailed up to get a better view. “Who’s....Who’s there?”

scorchingdawn:
You could’ve considered this a bit of a routine scouting. With vex activity on the rise, information on Venus’ current development was valued higher than anything. And given Diluc’s specialty, he’d been the best for the job. The easily unlocked caches were just a bonus for all of his hard work.
And of course–
Hands closed around the ghost almost immediately as the harpy vibrated with sudden energy, its focus clearly set on his overly curious Ghost. “Remember when I told you to stay within arms reach of me at all times?” He leapt back, rolling towards the nearest cover as those blasted tendrils sliced through debris relentlessly. Not wanting to let it gain the upper hand so quickly, the solar energy within Diluc’s body suddenly ignited, eyes glowing brighter. He let go of his Ghost and moved forward.
The image of the Dawnblade manifested within his mind before appearing within his hand as he has no intention of going easy on this thing. Old unit or not. As the harpy began to pull itself up, he lunged forward, solar-manifested blade striking the machine right at its core just before it managed to put its shields up. Internal metal components twisted and melted against the heat and it twitched once more before shutting down completely. “I hope you weren’t planning on making friends with this thing.”
“No.” The ghost shot back hanging in back of his guardian. He could sense other guardians approaching soon. Though it was fun to watch his guardian go a little overboard. “It’s one harpy Dlicu. I think just your sword would have been enough.” He pointed out floating after the warlock. His fins stopped spinning watching the harpy warp and melt into useless pile of scrap. At his guardian’s word though he perked up, “Do you think I could have? befriend a hive mind. It would make recon work a little easier if we had help.” The ghost circled around the warlock’s head looking deep in thought. “I still think you get to delighted to show off, I mean I made it a long time without you.” The ghost headbutted against the helmet of the warlock. “You just worry too much. Nothing bad is gonna happen.”
@scorchingdawn
The ghost watched their guardian pick through the recently opened chest. It rolled it’s eye drifting away from the other. He looked at the scorched bodies of former vex units. The radiolarian long since evaporated into the air or the steamy lush jungles that coated Venus. “Diluc, don’t you think we should invest...” The ghost blinked back half spinning in delight at the sight of a older vex unit. “Oh!! Dilcu look at this one!” He circled around the twitching Harpy. “It looks different than ones we’ve been.” The ghost skittered back when thick void tendrils lashed out trying to free the trapped harpy.
“My.... Are guardians getting stronger.... Or just sillier.” Watching some jump over each other.

Tolvaks’ head snapped left before they stilled again, squinting against the dying sunlight. They’d seen that, right? The faint gleam of a Guardian’s Ghost? After a glance around, the Eliksni slowly, quietly climbed down from the truck they’d been standing on for a better view (best to stay down– Ghosts were never far from their Guardians and Tolvaks had no intention of making themselves an easy target).
Eyes scanning for any other movement, they crept closer to the rusted hull of the vehicle. Curiosity drove them, but they doubted the Ghost in question would believe they meant it no harm. Still, they slung their rifle across their back as they crouched down to peer into the small car.
“… Ghost. We will not harm,” they rumbled softly, their english a bit broken.
The ghost laid on the rotting chair cushion. It stared at the other nervously. “Ah, hahahahahah.... Do understand that... I don’t really trust that.” He confessed staring at the other. It’s body twitched making no real move to leave the car. It started to scan the dead body found in the drivers seat. Well if it was going to hide and talk here it might as well continue its search. “No...No you’re not them either.” It looked a little disappointed before perking up and turning its attention back to the other. “So, um.... do you have a group with you?? Are you, ahhhh, trying to keep hive out of your area?”
“HAPPY DAWNING EVERYONE!!! If you need help this year let me know!! Two ghosts are better then one sometimes!”
