Gryka e Kazanit - The best hike in Permet
Gryka e Kazanit is one of the most beautiful hikes in Permet area. The east face of Mount Nemercka falls down directly on the gorge of Gryka e Kazanit offering amazing views. From the gorge the trail climbs up on the border ridge offering another view prospective of Nemercka and breathtaking views from both countries. From here one can see also the summit of Nemercka – Maja e Drites/Papingut.
The hike to Gryka e Kazanit starts at the village of Biovizhde that is approx. 3 km from the main road and only accessible by high clearance four wheels. From the center of the village the trail climbs up very gently at Gryka e Kazanit and after this further on at the border ridge. The descent is a bit steep but still with enjoyable views.

Caving in Albanian Alps
Maja e Arapit or Harapit is located near Thethi village in Albanian Alps and it’s well known for its 800 m climbing wall. In the foot of this mountain is located the cave with the same name. This is a vertical cave that goes generaly up. The exploration for the cave Maja e Arapit has started in 1992 and now it is explored up to 365 m hight from the entrance of the cave. The perspectives for more exploration are not good at the moment because all the corridors are very narrow thus the work is very slow.

Gjipe Beach - a rock climbing spot
Gjipe bay is sandwiched by two well known beaches in southern Albania – Dhermi and Jale. Unlike these two beaches, Gjipe is still unspoiled by modernization. To get there one has to pass Dhermi beach and turn off at the sign “Manastir”. By a high clearance four wheels is possible to get by car at the beach or one has to park at the end of the road that is about 20 minutes walk from the beach.
