The one thing I love most about mine and XIII's genderfreak flag starting to take off is I can finally say "let your freak flag fly" and have a literal flag for it

All joking aside the core meaning I think I get from the genderfreak identity is that individually our experiences are unique and our own to name and stick a label on, and that no one or two or even three identities can be a good fit for everyone

Your experiences and identity are what you're whittling out of the metaphorical block of wood that life handed you from the start, and just because Sandra, Matt, and Pauls' masterpieces at the end of their lives were ducks doesn't mean you have to whittle a duck too, y'know? Your whole group could be whittling ducks but god damn it if you want a rabbit or a fox you can make it a rabbit or a fox! Just so long as you're not bashing or trashing other people's projects you're good homie!

Who cares if you wanna get a little freaky with it too and make an eye or a skeleton or a mass of geometric shapes or fuck maybe you toss the cube aside and work on a painting instead cuz you think whittling fucking sucks! Anyway I'm making too much backstory for this analogy—basically Genderfreak, to me personally, is an identity anyone and everyone (who's comfortable with it) should be able to fall back on in times of need, because it's an identity that puts YOU in control, and reassures YOU that you're the master of your own destiny, and allows you to go with your own flow genderwise regardless of who's being super anal about that.
