Yesterday was the annual Celebration of Life, for the Hematology Oncology peeps, at UCLA. The medical and support staff, patients, survivors, and families are all invited.
This was my 3rd year in attendance.

The Santa Maria Valley is scattered with little adobe buildings like this one. Most are falling apart, but have a little protective fencing to keep people back. Thus far, I’ve read of shallow efforts to try to save these little buildings. From What I can tell, they housed tenemant farmers over 100 years ago.
