i caved and made a dragon age sideblog so i could really double down on the oc posting. i'm a filthy mage main player and i never shut up.

(some these are still under construction, since i plan out worldstates long before i actually play/finish them. they'll all get screenshots eventually. additionally, some of these characters are gonna get nice, well-written, long paragraphs and some of them are gonna get whatever information i think is funniest for you to know and we're all going to deal with this.)

i also have random da ocs who aren't part of a worldstate or who aren't player characters, so you'll probably hear about them sometimes too.

i once decided i was going to 100% inquisition. i don’t know why i did that since it doesn’t have an achievement for it, but i made a spreadsheet to help myself do so. if you’re also interested in 100%-ing inquisition or would like some help with keeping track of quests and items on your first playthrough, see here! more in depth but still spoiler free guide maybe coming soon.

Scout Lace Harding was NOT murdering people left and right with a satisfied smirk on her face in her first scene ever and learning both how to fight and making herself as helpful and resourceful as possible because she was a little dwarven girl growing up around human boys and very possibly tracking down and killing a lyrium-addicted Cullen in the streets (and thinking of it as a merciful act) AND carrying one of the strongest parts of veilguard on her back with her arc being all about her rage and how she wants to grapple with it for you all to relegate her to the safe and dull nice girl love interest 🫵 START PONDERING

There are definitely some mistranslations and not-quite-there moments in the Japanese localization of Dragon Age, but I really do think translating “Trespasser” as “招かれざる客” — “an uninvited guest” — was absolutely brilliant.

On the surface, it refers to the Qunari, of course. But the fact that it can also quietly point to Solas, who isn’t even present at the Exalted Council, makes me grin a little. And the slightly old-fashioned phrasing suits the tone of the story so well.
