i caved and made a dragon age sideblog so i could really double down on the oc posting. i'm a filthy mage main player and i never shut up.

(some these are still under construction, since i plan out worldstates long before i actually play/finish them. they'll all get screenshots eventually. additionally, some of these characters are gonna get nice, well-written, long paragraphs and some of them are gonna get whatever information i think is funniest for you to know and we're all going to deal with this.)

i also have random da ocs who aren't part of a worldstate or who aren't player characters, so you'll probably hear about them sometimes too.

i once decided i was going to 100% inquisition. i don’t know why i did that since it doesn’t have an achievement for it, but i made a spreadsheet to help myself do so. if you’re also interested in 100%-ing inquisition or would like some help with keeping track of quests and items on your first playthrough, see here!

also. i’ve never played through urn of sacred ashes as a cousland before and thus didn’t know who was going to show up as my regret vision. and i am honestly pretty sad that it was bryce instead of eleanor, because elissa has way more of a developed and fraught relationship with her in my mind than with her father for a million reasons but the big one at the start of the game being that bryce was already dying by the time they got there, but eleanor could have lived and chose not only to (in elissa’s mind) sell her daughter to the wardens but to not take the opportunity to live. so i think an accurate confrontation of her regrets would’ve been her mother and not her father and thus feel a bit cheated. but i also know elissa is so grateful it was her father instead because she got to talk a big game about not regretting leaving without them because they forced her and look cool in front of zevran and sten instead of god knows what she’d have done if faced with her mother.

extremely compelling and telling conversation elissa and zevran had in between her giving him the dalish gloves + the temple of sacred ashes + her giving him the antivan leather boots. learning a lot about elissa in this moment from her constantly trying to encourage zevran to go + not understanding why he wouldn't if he were allowed + admitting that maybe she could use a friend + him being literally the only member of her party who likes her except her dog. he's at 50 something approval and the only other people in the positives are sten (less than 20 approval, just spent the entirety of haven arguing with her and questioning her leadership) and oghren (who she just met and honestly doesn't super like but she feels bad because she convinced his wife to kill herself). everyone else either decently dislikes her or literally can't stand her. and they're right to, she's been a complete ass to them and done some pretty horrible things in front of them! but it's so fun how she seems to be expecting that same reaction from zevran when she honestly seems to be making an effort to be better towards him and around him. or maybe it's a bit more that he's down with some of the bad shit she does in a way no one else has been yet. she is trying to be nice to him! but it helps that he supports her wrongs.

shale left after it asked elissa for details about what happened to caridin and she told it to kill itself finding out in the deep roads. for some reason. i don’t know why she did that they weren’t friends but that felt needlessly hostile even for her

had a nice conversation with zevran and gave him the dalish gloves and he genuinely kinda likes me now. romance potentially on the table? or perhaps she just has one friend who isn’t her dog.

alistair FUCKING HATES HER. in the actively hostile approval section! every time i talk to him he goes “what do you what now?” and tbh he’s right.

brought sten along to haven and he confronted her about how this mission’s been going, she told him to shut up and listen and we thankfully proceeded without a fight

she told genetivi to go home and didn’t let him see the ashes, which i didn’t realize you could do because it’s literally never occurred to be to try before this

was predictably hostile to kolgrim and thus did not have the option to destroy the urn

got weirdly really andrastian after all that. maybe seeing the urn really got to her. maybe she believes the maker has abandoned us but still venerates andraste anyways. we’ll see.
