Chessex Blue and Steel Gemini With White Pips 50mm (2in) D6
Big Boi! I love it. It’s a bit ridiculous but it’s very swirly and pretty and fun.
They did forewarn that the injection-points on the corners would be very noticeable but I was still a little surprised at how much so, and the bubbles, but I imagine such large die are hard to make. The overall effect is really cool and it’s fun having a gigantic d6 on the shelf.
Minty Fresh for a New Year!
My latest acquisition - Chessex Lab Dice Gemini Mint Green - White / Orange. CHX 30020.
It’s very cool looking. The crisp white is a nice contrast to the reflective mint, and the orange is a great bright pop. I was hoping the green would be a little less solidly pearlescent and more translucent, since it looks so good in the similar teal/white and astral-blue/white sets from chessex.
They roll pretty well. They feel pretty light-weight and don’t feel noticeably imbalanced in any particular direction, which is to be expected given the different densities in the decorative materials just add chaos more than pulling them in any particular direction.
Overall verdict: a fine addition to the hoard!
At long last, green borealis dice are mine!
Merry Christmas, dragons.
Never enough dice!
My Hoard!
It’s taken weeks of work trying to find the right displays, getting everything built and organized, but now I can sit on my couch and admire all my shinies and I’m so happy with how it turned out!
There’s almost too much shininess to get a good look at it all at once, but it’s very satisfying. I truly am a dragon at heart.
Sure that first set of dice isn’t very expensive but then you need to buy all the other dice sets to keep it company so you have enough to roll while DMing and then you need different colors to suit the different badguys and then some to gift to your players to show them how excited you are they’re playing with you but then you need to buy little clear containers to display them to their fullest instead of sitting hiding in a velvet bag but then you need to buy a display cabinet to put all those little containers on because all your bookcases are full already and anyway the point is
don’t buy the dice if you have dragon tendencies.
Or do. Whatever. Life is short. Let it be shiny.
