You're not supposed to be here. You're supposed to be back in Mount Olympus, where it’s safe. Demigods die all the time out in the real world. The ones too arrogant to ever believe any misfortune might befall them, the ones too passionate to leave their loved ones behind. The ones that go on quests. All different types of demigods with the power and will to leave. Most often the children of Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, even other children of your own parent go out and explore the world. But never you. Until now.
Thrust into a quest that you may or may not have wanted to be a part of, you must navigate the scary, new world outside of your home, Mount Olympus. Who will you ally with in a battle between the gods? Which demigod will warm your heart (and maybe your bed)?

Ajax/Alya/Al - The Child of Zeus
M/F/NB. Dark skin, dark eyes, and dark dreads that reach to about their shoulders, A always stands proud and tall, seemingly bigger than they really are. In truth, Ajax clocks in at about 5’11, Alya at 5’6, and Al at 5’8, although they all overstate their height by an inch (Ajax more often than the others). They’re very muscular and bulky, due to hours spent training their physical prowess.
Cyrus/Cyra/Cy - The Child of Apollo
M/F/NB. The first thing one normally notices about them is their height. Cyrus stands at 6′5″ and Cy at 6′2″, both of their once-blond hair now grown out to display their roots, reaching around their shoulders. Cyra stands at 6′ exactly, her once-blonde hair cascading down to her mid-back. C has dark eyes, and pale skin, occasionally giving off the impression of a human toothpick because of their skinny frame. They have large doe-eyes, and often bite their nails, leading to chewed-up nailbeds.
Kai - The Child of Poseidon
M/F/NB. With heterochromatic eyes (one a pale blue as turbulent as the ocean and the other a dark green and intricate as the ocean’s depths), dark auburn hair, medium brown skin, a jawline to cut glass, and a largish nose, K’s an amalgamation of traits that seem to work together perfectly. NB!K stands at around 5’6", F!K stands at around 5’2", and M!K stands at around 5’8", making them the shortest of the ROs, although they’re perfectly happy with not dying as early as the taller people, thank you very much.
Mortimer/Morgan - The Child of Hades
M/F/NB. Dark blonde hair that flops in front of their face because they’re too lazy to cut it, skin tanned from hours spent practicing their powers under the hot sun, and bright blue eyes that sparkle when they smile. They’re basically a golden retriever, if a golden retriever were to begin wearing black nail-polish to look more “edgy” (they don’t pull off the edgy look well). Although a day younger and with more lean muscle than bulk, they’re ¾ of an inch taller than A (no matter the gender), something that they take great pride in.
hi! i just noticed your patreon has no posts anymore? i don’t know much about patreon so i don’t know if that’s something that just happens but if you deleted all your posts on there, does that mean zeus’ dilemma is discontinued?

hi! it's actually lowkey the opposite? i had a Bad Time at the start of 2023, and completely forgot like pretty much everything until i pulled myself out of that hole. i started writing again in july but i figured with the intense delay between my last post and now i should get two chapters out instead of one. anyway, chapter nine is kind of a quicker one (and i had already written the c romance lock and one of the other ro scenes, and chapter eight was previously drafted i just had to edit and add a few ro scenes spontaneously), so i figured why not. i'm also gonna release chapter five publically then, so ive been going back and making sure the first five chapters r as polished as i alone can make them.
if i simply cannot for some reason finish chapter nine by the end of this month, i'll just go ahead with posting chapter eight, so it won't be fully no updates for a while. it clocks in at about 20k words (and the parent scene is not written and will not be written), so its not unsubstantial i hope.
chapters 10&11 are both bigger than 8&9 in theory, but ive already written the romance locks for k&a (which take place in those chapters respectively) so there's a little work done there too. all in all, i'm about 75% of the way done w ZD and i have no plans to abandon it given how much it's taken to get this far,, im just bad w social media bc it gives me a lot of anxiety lol. im gonna log off again until ch. 9 is done (or aug. 31 hits lol), and im sorry if i havent gotten to ur ask, this was literally just the one at the top of my inbox. ik im rambling, but tysm for reading this far <3

"You are quite drunk, MC," A steadies you, searching for a place for you both to sit while you sober up.
"That's interesting!" C engages with you, but their thoughts seem elsewhere as they guide you back to your dorm.
Kai chuckles at the words, wiggling their eyebrows at you. "Really? I mean, they are quite handsome. Tell me more."
With a sigh and like they didn't register the words, Mor leaves you with C to sober up.
hello! i don't mind supporting you on patreon but you said that we would only get charged once yet i was charged for october and i'll be charged in november too apparently?

no but its not actively being like the forefront of my mind. i'm writing like parts that i want to right now and its kind of just a bunch of scenes from the later chapters that i had fun with bc i started kinda writing when i had time rather than writing to advance the plot if that makes sense. no deadline on chapter 8 coming out, but uhh there are words there if that makes people feel better.
I have noticed in two similar playthroughs I have done that A will get a 5% attraction to them even if you don't choose flirty options with them.
Do I keep accidentally clicking romantic options? What exactly is it connected to?
I have done in both playthroughs:
- say MC gets along with A at the cafeteria
- respect A's request for privacy at the party by immediately leaving
- help everyone out successfully at the Museum scrimmage
- agree to join the quest
- don't mind rooming with A when it comes to splitting up
- share a bed but keep respectful distance between each other, say good night
I have chosen all these options believing them to be friendly, is one of them romantic-coded?
