“Fair enough.”
“I think it’s nantural to have a love/hate relationship with weather though. I’m the same way about rain. It’s nice to listen to when I’m inside, I just don’t want to have to walk in it.”

“Fair enough.”
“I think it’s nantural to have a love/hate relationship with weather though. I’m the same way about rain. It’s nice to listen to when I’m inside, I just don’t want to have to walk in it.”
“Oh my god, Tristan, I love you. That’s exactly what I need. A mommy spa day at home.” She chuckled, “and please tell me that your heart is still in one piece because I his twin brother would also like to meet you.” Serenity stepped aside allowing him to come in, “Zak is in the living room, and this one here is Levi.”
“I was hoping that’s how you’d feel about it. I just remember my mom telling me that when my sister and I were younger, a fifteen minute soak in the tub with soothing bubbles was sometimes all that stood between her tired soul and a mental breakdown.” He grinned at the infant in Serenity’s arms and then gave a considered hum. “Guess I should meet Zak too then...don’t want to start their sibling jealousy early. Man it’s been a while since I was around kids this young...when I volunteer at the hospital I’m usually with five year olds and up.”
“Really? That’s such a fucking shame. You need to work on that one, man. Although… I get the serving sizes thing, so you’re not alone.”
“I kinda always wanted to try puffer fish...you know that fish that’ll kill you if it’s not prepared right. But then I’m also a chicken a value my life, so god knows if I’ll ever do it. What’s the fanciest thing you’ve ever had?”
“Can’t tell if I love this weather or if it’s driving me up the wall…”
“I love it when I don’t have to shovel it.”
“One sec! I’m coming…” Serenity yelled out, picking up Levi in her arms only to kiss him all over his face. “Now let’s go see whose at the door, shall we?” She looked at the big blue eyes that beamed at her only to chuckle as she made her way to the door. “Hey, I wasn’t expecting you? What’s going on?”
“Oh nothings going on...well except my heart exploding from the sheer cuteness of that little guy in your arms.” Tristan grinned, immediately tempted to coo at the tiny human. “I just brought you a little care basket,” he continued, holding out a basket containing a bottle of soothing bath bubbles and a myriad of baby related items. “The bubbles are specifically for you...new babies around, you don’t get a lot of “me” time, but these are to help you relax when you can.”
I do like fancy sometimes, but I do have a certain liking for burgers, even if they just place it right in my hand.
I’ve yet to try any sort of standard fancy food and actually enjoy it. Or maybe the taste is bittered for me by the fact that the serving sizes are always pitiful.
I was just checking in whether you had a new secret fancy place. Good to hear you don’t though. Munchers it is.
You look like the type that likes a burger served in a basket...not fancy, never fancy. Fancy is stifling.
“Man I’m sorry– but that’s a really, really far stretch.”
“This is why I have never and will never make it as a comedian.”
“Had something for me, huh?” A wide smile accompanied the wiggling of his eyebrows as Drew threw his words into the arena of the suggestive. But that was Drew just being Drew. "Well alright, I think I can hold in my curiosity and questions until then. We can just talk about you in green tights some more. C’mon.” He waved him over to follow, since he’d already ordered them a cab in the time they were talking.
The suggestion in Drew’s playful tone was not lost upon Tristan. He didn’t blush or bite his lip, but when they clamored into the cab he sat close to the other male, close enough that their legs touched. “Ah who am I kidding...I was always piss poor at waiting,” Tristan murmured with a grin. As the cab began moving, he pulled his sketchbook out of his bag, opening it to a page and handing it to Drew. The sketch contained a glorified tree house, built upon the idea of Drew’s own structure. And there he was, a comic version, looking badass in apocalyptic style getup. “I had this idea....for a character...and you were sort of the inspiration. Okay...maybe more than sort of.”
Oh my God, seriously? I’m not going to say no to greasy breakfast, that’ll make all the dark thoughts go away as well. Where did you think about going?
Where does anyone go when they want delicious grease? Munchers, friend, that’s the only proper answer.
‘I quite like the element of surprise, and as much as I have my ideas, I always appreciate ideas that come from other people as well, and I love the mystery of not knowing.’
“Kaleidoscope, I’ll take it. And good, I’m up for something spicy too. I mean tiny food sounds interesting but I’m actually hungry too. Let’s go.”
“Off we go then...I’m sort of glad I ran into you. Because half the reason I wanted to find you on halloween was because I had something for you. Well...not for you...you don’t get to keep this specific version...but...okay wait...this’ll just wait till we settle with our food and then I’ll just show it to you. Ignore that whole rambling train of thought.”
“No– I really don’t. Wow, I work with teenagers all day, and I still am drawing a blank here.”
Parts...as in like...body parts. You want to show me good parts....I don’t man...it made sense in my head when I said it but trying to break it down and explain it is now making me question the whole thing and fall into a mental state of crisis.
That is also right. One can also not wake up at all after having too much alcohol, so I’m happy to know I’m still alive and more or less well, outside of the hangover.
Man that just got dark....let’s derail that train to happier thoughts. Like the fact that you are alive and well and pretty capable of speech despite your hangover...and you’ve run into a dashing fellow who is willing to buy you a greasy breakfast and some coffee to help.
“The reason for that might have been alcohol. Lots of alcohol.”
I figured that’s where that story would go. You’re kind of lucky though, eh? One can wake up in much worse scenarios after lots of alcohol.
“Well as long as you don’t steal from the poor and give to the rich…a chameleon. I like that. I prefer to think of me as a funhouse mirror…reflect things back at you but in a really funky, distorted way. Are you hungry? There’s two new places I found on the internet, we could flip a coin. Unless spicy food isn’t your jam, then we could go straight to the molecular gastronomy.
“That’s a badass and very fitting metaphor, Drew. Though I’d think of you more as a kaleidoscope because funhouse mirrors always scared the hell out of me. The answer to that question is that I am always hungry...and I’ll generally eat anything but spicy sounds really good. Can we go with that?”
“How? How could you make one? Now you have to tell me because I do no believe you.”
“Oh come on, you don’t see the potential? Out of context you made a comment about showing me good parts...you can’t tell how I pervy mind could rework that?”
