I am a student from Greece and my dream is to become an artist and a scientist.🎨🎭🌌👨‍🔬 (Cosmology, astrophysics and quantum physics)

I currently study music🎼 and theater🎭(Working on expanding my knowledge!!)

I write stories, draw, sing, act, play a few instruments, make music occasionally AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I love learning and putting my wisdom to use‼️💡

Some of my biggest goals are to become a well-known actor, a performer in general and make my own series/movies in the future.🎥🎬 Cinematography is very important to me!! Direction and writting are jobs I'd really like to do for sure.

the difference in both mike and el's body language between these two scenes... they're both with the wrong people and we all know it

The concept of Mike being so adamant about all the boys being his best friend when they were younger because he felt guilty for liking Will more without realizing he just liked him differently… And then later, as he grew up, he thought maybe what he felt for Will was just what you were supposed to feel for a best friend, so he accepted that maybe he really did just have one best friend.

…Until the words best friend slowly evolved into something entirely different that didn’t really fit with what others described anymore, but he still clings to them because changing them to something else is scary.

So really, when Mike Wheeler says best friend, it carries the meaning of the words he was never able to say and truly mean to El, because the feeling behind them had already been transferred onto different words. “We're best friends” is Mike Wheeler for “I love you.”

Mike and Lexie: the storytellers

I remember noticing this distinct scene in episode 6 of season 3 of euphoria (see further below), but I IGNORED IT, I thought METAGATE WAS SILLY, I did NOT want to read into, and I did NOT want to believe in metagate, but it's relevant now that we know how the finale ends!!!!

Remember - Mike and Lexie? Our storytellers? Who are both depicted as feeling guilt/regret for not having said 'I love you', in the series finales of their respective shows?

You know our theories that Mike was the storyteller and made up El's death, and felt so much guilt over the fact that he could say I love you back?

Lexie adopts the same fucking role in the series finale of Euphoria. This is a 4th wall break scene from episode 6 of season 3, that I chose to IGNORE on first watch, yet it lingered at the back of my mind!!! It's Lexie describing how she'll write her episode of LA Nights (where she's been hired as screenwriter):

'Why don't you just kill her character?'

'Cause I'm supposed to build her up'

'If someone doesn't die periodically, people get bored'

How are more people not catching on that episode 8 of euphoria might just be Lexie's narrative/screenplay? The same Lexie who staged a fake version of Oklahoma, to cover up the nitty, true play that she decided to put on... Where have I head that before...

This specific line below is FISHY AS HELLLLLLL!!!!! I THINK I'VE HEARD THAT SOMEWHERE!!!

'OK, so, build up to kill her'

'The whole episode is building towards "Eleven is going to kill herself"'

Lexie is literally describing that she's writing a story where the story builds up to the main female protagonist getting killed...

One thing that Sam Levinson cannot do is subtlety, which is why this feels so much more blatant and less hard to believe than conformitygate in and of itself...

Why is no one talking about this? Or are people talking about this? Am I going crazy?

I didn't even intend to watch Euphoria under the guise that it was possibly metagate, because that felt SO SILLY, but that finale????

I got played TWICE this year! TWICE!!!!!

This might just be, one of the biggest pieces of (soft?) Conformitygate evidence I've seen. Look how candid and eloquent Gaten is here talking about queer representation!! There is no doubt he would be pissed if the finale we got was the real one 😤

I'll go the extra mile and say it also debunks those fuckass accusations of homophobia against him- and other cast members- that went rampant after Finn's appearance on SNL (god... as a Byler I'm still ashamed that even happened 🤦)

Also if anyone happens to know which interview this comes from PLS LET ME KNOW I WANT TO SEE THE FULL THING 😣🙏🙏

CG tumblr is still trying to keep it grounded, but LWG twitter is both hilarious and tragic. People seriously think the whole industry is organizing some kind of protest, and all these big names, who have already made their millions from their projects, have joined forces for some kind of meta commentary on art and media consumption, and among these people is Taylor Swift, a businesswoman who makes a hundred versions of the same song to get more sales.

I start of by saying that I believe in metagate to its full extent. I am not impressed by all of it though. I frankly despise it. I cringe.

It's "performance art" with a poor attempt at deeper meta commentary. This message, how it's wrong for creatives to pander to the audience and how media literacy is in decline, gets completely lost when it's spread by the largest creators of media in the world, who earn containers full of money from relying on people's stupidity and low standards.

How can I take any message of theirs about the state of art seriously, when the companies they're working for are invasively and pragmatically collecting and analyzing our data to understand "how to create loyal fandoms" merely for their own financial benefit?

Moreover, the hints are subtle enough that their work is still happily consumed by the majority, without them ever feeling challenged. These creators feel sanctimonious and self-important about their little scheme, but they're playing it safe. It's cowardice! Real, provocative art doesn't hide its intentions.

Pretentious and cynical, that's what they are. The Duffer Brothers, Sam Levinson, Saturday Night Live, Taylor Swift, everyone else involved.

There is nothing more annoying than a bunch of rich elites coming together to laugh at and talk down at us. This "movement" is a cruel inside joke at the expense of us neurodivergent nerds, of passionate fandoms.

That's my opinion, that I have been stewing on since Jan 1st, when I realized something was off with the finale of Stranger Things.

I don't care about other media that falls under metagate, but I soured on Stranger Things significantly, to the point I'm probably going to have a hard time watching any new related content in the future.

I don't care if byler is confirmed in July, November or next year in some movie or interactive component. There is so much beautiful queer media out there, that openly and honestly explores queer existence and love, showing both the rough edges and the colorful, gentle parts.

Queer lives aren't a gotcha to teach bigots a lesson. Y'all can get absolutely fucked. Happy Pride.
