The fact that there are some people in TMR community that blame Teresa, a manipulated and mentally abused 17 YEAR OLD for ALL the horrid acts that wicked has committed is unbelievably Infuriating. Like I get it she “betrayed” Thomas alongside Aris in the scorch trials book, but she only did it because WICKED threaten to kill him if she didn’t do what they asked of her, basically forcing her to do it (and frankly, the second maze runner movie didn’t do her any justice because they changed the whole betrayal plot, and left Aris out of the betrayal, making Teresa look like the main “villain”. and also in the scorch trials book Minho never got taken by WCKD so I’m not sure why in the movies they changed it). And then there’s also people in the community who BLAME her for Newt’s death, when in the death cure book, Newt was literally told that he had the flare and was not immune, which led to him going to the crank palace, which had NOTHING to do with Teresa. And even in the movie when Newt was dying from the flare, Teresa tried to help save him and get the serum to him on time. Y’all seriously need to stop making Teresa out to be this spawn from Satan and pay attention to the real culprits (Ahem WICKED) that are responsible for the destructive, emotionally and physically abusive system that they’ve created and used against literal children (INCLUDING Teresa).
