I headcanon this as the moment when Troy fully realizes his feelings towards Abed; that he's actually at the right place with the right person, and that there's nowhere else he'd rather be. That the pursuing Mariah thing was just a way for them to spend Valentine's night together OUGHHHHHHHHH i hate them

If tomorrow really is going to be the last episode of Community, I will be devastated. I can’t bear to see Troy and Abed go so soon. I can’t remember ever loving or shipping another relationship on a TV show as hard as these two. Troy and Abed have brought me more joy than you could ever imagine.

hello again community community. on one of my usual strolls through the contents of the community fandom wiki I discovered some heretofore unknown (from what I have seen in my stalking of the fandom) information about Troy’s whereabouts. apparently the kidnapped-by-pirates-from-s5e6-onward concept that everyone’s been running with was actually inaccurate because (according to a board in the background of one of the scenes) as of s5e7 bondage and beta male sexuality, Troy and (presumably) LeVar Burton are actually currently somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle:
here are some deductions that can be made from this:
Abed IS actively following Troy’s location through the trackers (this is the logical source for the coordinates) which we already logically knew but it’s nice to have some form of confirmation
this seems to imply Troy and Abed were somehow in contact prior to the Bermuda Triangle thing (or maybe even further back prior to the pirates thing) considering both the question ‘has anyone heard from Troy’ seems to vaguely imply that b4 this event at least Someone in the group had heard from Troy . and also that the idea of an overseas troy and abed in the morning episode is on the table. granted this could be a meta joke about donald glover possibly returning for a cameo in the future or something (seeing as the production code for the s5 season finale is located under this note) i don’t really know what is meant by this but I am choosing to believe it means troy and abed were in regular contact until Troy went missing. canon cannot hurt me.
….this idea (that troy Was in contact with the other group members and suddenly stopped without the outside influence of pirates) also kind of implies that Troy is most likely dead. now of course donald glover is confirmed for the movie and it wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense for that to be happening if Troy is dead but the other possibility is that either Troy is … somehow still lost/shipwrecked (assuming that’s what’s happening here due to it being the bermuda triangle. knowing community it could just as well be implying alien abduction though) and never managed to be able to contact anyone in the study group before the end of the show (this is the last canonical information given about troy’s whereabouts until abed’s speech in the finale) or alternatively troy is intentionally choosing to ghost the rest of the group but I don’t think anyone really wants to believe that is true so. yknow. or the tracker could’ve gotten left in the bermuda triangle somehow? (this is all assuming that the fact there is no further canon information means Troy is Still in the bermuda triangle as of the series ending which I think is a logical conclusion to make.)
anyways! This is the most information we’ve gotten about about Troy’s whereabouts in years even if it’s an easter egg that might not actually influence canon at all (I mean so is the pirates thing but yknow) and I am currently going insane over it and needed to share it with Someone considering I have not seen anyone on this website mention it ever.
oooh god this is lowkey heartbreaking. one thing i wanna mention tho is in season 6 we see "Troy Whatsapp" in annie's phone, so maybe he's still in contact with the group???
anyways abed nadir was fantasizing about his boy best friend pregnant with werewolf puppies before the 'birth of omegaverse in fandom' so technically he's an omegaverse founding father and trobed is once again the nachos everyone wants
he knows he hates when people do this in movies. HE KNOWS HE HATES WHEN PEOPLE DO THIS IN MOVIES this line makes me so fucking brain crazy. it's the same idea of how the "i know" being a reference instead of a direct reciprocation makes the confession that much more genuine like troy and abed's love has always been about how they know and understand eachother and are so deeply intwertwined within one another and troy knows abed hates when people do this in movies because it's dumb and it's corny but the significance of it is so instantly recognizable. and he knows he hates when people do this in movies but he also knows he understands why people do this in movies and he can't say the words because this isn't halloween, when they were saying goodbye before abed was gone forever, it's goodby before they're apart for a very long time and saying it and then sitting on that while he has to go through ac school would be all wrong. so i know you hate when people do this in movies, much like i know, isn't a snappy little one-liner, it's a goodbye and it's a confession and it's a reminder that things are going to end and change and i'm going to fall into fake lava and get on a boat and you're going to get turned into a zombie and try to cut off jeff's arm and we're going to have a fight that destroys the entire campus and spend years on opposite sides of the world, but i'm always going to know that you hate when people do this in movies and yet i'm going to do it anyways because you're going to understand that i need to.
It's weird that no matter how many times you watch Herstory of Dance Abed never realises that it's Troy who was under his nose all along and Troy never realises why he's been spending the whole night trying to get Abed's attention it's a time loop of them almost getting the point come on boys you're killing me
