Summer vacation 2018! Five weeks of vacation has been really good, most of it spent up north with family and friends. Long summer nights where the sun never sets, concerts and art exhibitions, hikes, temperatures that were way too high, some reading, loads of driving and quite a bit of relaxation. Ready to start my new job now, just have to finish packing and moving across half the country first! Northern Norway, I am coming home! <3

This week's "Ted Thursday -Tedtalk of the week" is a talk about being a transgendered parent, being a genderqueer dad. It is an interesting story that I think gives hope for a more gender diverse future! During pride month, all tedtalks snd quotes (and probably other posts too) will be heavenly queer! Happy pride!
The party is over (for me anyhow), and it has been a great national constitution day for Norway! National costumes, flags, kids and grown-ups shouting and laughing, great weather, and lots of wind band music. My wind band was on from 08.00 to 15.30, and wonderul people served us breakfast and lunch and dinner in between playing sessions! I'm so lucky to live in Norway, and to get to be an active part of the biggest celebration of the year! I started the day with a pre-breakfast smoothie made of frozen mango and frozen pineapple and orange juice, and now I'm ending it with giving the guinea pigs an extra nice evening meal. Goodnight Norway, thank you for all you've given me!

This year's 1. of May parade is a sea of umbrellas and raincoats! Quite fitting for Norway's most rainful city, I suppose. Workers will celebrate the things we have achieved and keep fighting for better working conditions, for ourselves and for the people we work for!
