General Motors Started as a Truck Maker More than 100 Years Ago
In 1901, Max Grabowsky and his brother, Morris, just completed their first truck prototype in Pontiac, Michigan and liked it so much it spurred them on to move ahead with their plans to build one-ton trucks. Little did they know at the time history would credit their new company with being the forerunner to General Motors Corporation’s Truck Division.
