Adrienne Quintal made a phone call at 2:45 in the morning on October 17th asking for help.
She was reportedly at a family cabin in Honor, Michigan, a village of fewer than 400 people near Lake Michigan--an isolated spot, to say the least.
Police arrived less than 15 minutes after she made her phone call, but she was gone, and she’d left all her effects behind. People Magazine reports she had been at the cabin for three weeks visiting her boyfriend, and that he’d left prior to her disappearance.
The Benzie County, Michigan Sheriff’s Office says there is “evidence of foul play.”
Most crime happens between people who know each other or are at least acquainted. Police will surely start there.
