"One belongs to New York instantly" (Monday, May 19 2014)
I speak for myself but I wouldn't doubt you feel the same.
New York was for a me a completely different world. I need to get out more and Im glad New York was my first place to explore.
This was a Monday and we had a tour set for the MET Museum.
Every year the Met Gala is such a big event in NY, (well common all the famous actors go in their best attire) I for myself love that day. So wanting to go to the Met museum was such a highlight for me. They have by far the best history in there, to the ancient times where biblical character lived to modern famous artist.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Ok this is when it exactly hit me that I was thousands of miles away from home and actually in New York. It was surreal and amazing to be going up the stairs and about to explore this amazing place.
Me and my friends had a tour scheduled and we were so glad to have one because we received a lot of incredible information about all the history that the MET has. Not only history of Art but history from one of the oldest book published also know as the Bible. In the Bible there are a lot of accounts that some we know and many others we have not yet learned. But to see art in stones, jewelry, cloths, tombs, hair that has been kept for hundreds of years was incredible. Here are a couple:

The tour was almost 6 hours, it was totally worth it. We learned a lot I would totally get it again and maybe bring a notebook to jot down all the new things I was learning.
After the tour was over we went on our own to do our own exploration of the MET museum.
Note: We were having fun!
I really enjoyed this part of the Museum because I previously was exposed to a lot of Modern Art history and just being able to see the actual painting was surreal.
(Edgar Degas 1834-1917; what I remember most about this artist was that he liked to get a painting of the behind the scenes.)
We kinda got kicked out, kinda not cool but and the end it was a good day spent at the MET.
So because the sun was still out we went to explore Central Park.

As the sun was coming down we found ourselves back in the city.
I honestly I don't remember what we did that night. I do remember we had another schedule tour for the next day.
So that sums up our second day in New York. I have to say we were enjoying a very perfect weather. Not too cold and not too hot it was in the middle just like what everyone likes.
