How Radical Gender Ideology Harms Transsexuals
We've all heard anti-trans people throw around the term "radical gender ideology." But if we only apply it to the appropriation of transsexualism and not transsexuality itself then we can actually come to the conclusion that not only does this harm people like women and children, but also actual transsexuals.
We are considering RGI to be the belief that anyone can be any gender they want, regardless of whether that gender exists in human nature or whether they have actual sex dysphoria. (This purposefully excludes real, dysphoric transsexuals transitioning for medical reasons.)
One reason that RGI harms transsexuals (besides the reasons it harms other people) is because it paints us in a bad light. Followers may inadvertently make people think that even real transsexuals all believe in RGI, when this isn't true. But this isn't the only reason. RGI tends to spread the notion that gender or current sex doesn't matter, and that the only thing that matters is the person's natal, genetic sex, even if this isn't the followers' intention. While a non-dysphoric "transgender" person will likely have no problem with this, it deeply affects transsexuals.
Mentioning this in trans spaces gets you crucified pretty much immediately. "Transgender" and "non-binary" people rarely actually care about real transsexuals; they might claim to, until it comes down to a choice: either stand up for real transsexuals, or double down and insist that you really are trans as well. Which gets me to my next point: it makes it seem like ANYONE can be trans, thus making it seem like a choice, and it erases the fact that transsexualism has a definition, even if a little bit unclear: a medical disorder causing intense sex dysphoria, typically only treatable by socially and medically transitioning.
This is exactly why we need to be seeing more transsexuals speaking out against RGI in 2026, even if it's done anonymously over the internet. It's time to advocate for rights that actually matter, like hormone access for genuine transsexuals, rather than things that don't, like Self-ID.

I was watching a Jammidodger video and he said that he thinks the terms FtM/MtF are outdated, term like ‘trans feminine/trans masculine’ are more fitting. I see y’all opinion on it, i personally agree with Jammidodger.
Transfeminine and transmasculine dumb down transsexuality into a box that is just somewhat related to gender, when it is actually primarily about our sex.
Mark my word: The ACLU will want this to apply to ALL trans-identified people, not just transsexuals, and it will flop.
