With my transmedicalist perspective, I want to clarify what I mean: I believe people should make an effort to present themselves in alignment with the gender they identify as. For binary trans folks, trans men and trans women. I do have expectations about “passing.” For trans men, I expect you to look like a man in public; being a feminine man is absolutely valid, as long as it’s clear you identify and present as male. For trans women, my expectation is that you look like a woman, whether that means being masculine or feminine, as long as you come across as a woman.
It’s not my business whether someone transitions medically or not. I call myself transmedical because I think people should make a genuine effort to transition to their goal, whether that’s social, medical, or both. In my view, experiencing gender dysphoria is necessary to be transgender or non-binary. Dysphoria is what sets our experience apart from being cisgender, it’s that discomfort or disconnect between the gender assigned at birth and the gender you truly feel or present.
If you just dress and present as your assigned sex at birth with zero effort to pass as your identified gender, you can’t be mad when you get misgendered. Strangers can’t guess what you are if there’s nothing about your presentation that matches your identity, you have to be understanding about how people perceive you in public.
For those who don’t feel gender dysphoria but don’t want to dress exactly like they were assigned at birth, you are gender non-conforming. That’s not a bad thing at all, but it’s important to understand that being gender non-conforming is different from being transgender. Knowing that difference matters.
Most people assume I don’t believe in non-binary identities, but I do. I recognize that people can identify as both male and female, or neither, and that’s why I don’t hold the same expectations for non-binary folks because they don’t fit into the binary norms that apply to binary trans people. My focus is on effort, authenticity, genuine dysphoria, and understanding not on rigid expectations or exclusion.

Something people don't talk about is that tucute ideology is very inherently capitalistic, and transmedicalist ideology is more compatible with socialism than capitalism. Tucutes don't like to talk about this, however, because they're all fake poser communists. In actuality all of their morals are capitalistic and individualist.
