He got the dagger tattoo (and why it’s such a big deal)

So many baby larries around this year! I thought it would be a good time to put a few informations together to help people to understand a little deeply a few events around 2014/2015.

Sometimes is a bit hard to understand the meaning of things without the actual context, so that’s what I’m trying to do here. 2014 was the year we saw them actually fighting back their closeting and being so much in control of their label/management. No only H&L, but all the boys. There was definitely some built up of events and whole lot of push and pull was happening behind the scenes. This is them definitely fighting back. We call all the “fighting back” thing between 2014/2015 the big gay war and this is a very small part of it. It’s just one event of many - I’m hoping to put the most important ones together at some point but that’s a start.

For the context: The big gay war was basically for every single narrative that was being imposed on them there was a response. Moves and countermoves.

About the tattoo itself: We believe many of their tattoos are complementary, at this point it’s quite hard to analyse it and don’t see the same running theme going on, but it doesn’t really matter for this case specifically though and the meaning of the tattoos doesn’t matter either. The thing about the dagger tattoo was the context and why Louis got it. Harry got his rose tattoo on September 10th 2013. Before all the gay war events.

Cool, nothing special. By then, the fandom were already going kinda crazy for all “matching tattoo” thing and we were all like “lol what if louis gets a dagger to match the rose” - and that’s basically because we found out they got all their tattoos from this website, so that would be a very logical thing right?

Anyways, funny joke in the fandom, it was HUGE, everyone is very loud about it. The joke went on for months and months

Now back to 2014, where we already have a lot of events going on at the same time, I’m going to be pointing out only the ones about Louis at this time period:

Independent UK publishes this:

Harry’s comments about “gender and sexuality” they are referring to is the “Not that important” interview that took place on the 29th of September.

Also, on the 9th happened the FOURHangout. Ben Finson was the one hosting and at one point he was quite clear on asking if there were any rumours if they would like to set straight

They go on talking about rumours on they all being dead at some point. Anything else to clarify Louis? No?

The twitter part, we like to call it Bullshit 2.0. A lot is talked about how when there’s a rumor involved, it’s not the boys that are tweeting, it’s probably someone from PR trying to get the situation under control. Is not the first time it happens, is not the first time fans get suspicious. Is not the first time something happens right after it.

The narrative is that Louis is clearly pissed off about the rumours about his sexuality, right? He’s straight.

What you should do after gay rumour then, Louis? Stay away from another gay rumour, stay away from gay-band-members-at-all-costs!!! Two weeks after the independent article, well… Just watch this little shit:
