ok so pretty much I was working at ba$$ pr0 today for a cheer fundraiser (present wrapping) and I saw this worker who whenever he went out the door held his keys or sum over his head. I wasn’t lifting anything from their, and he would never be suspicious of me, so me and my friends were like, “why do you keep holding the keys over your head??” And he said it was so the alarm didn’t go off (I already knew this, but I wanted to clarify) then we started chatting with him and it’s turns out he was an LP, and he was nice as fuck. He told us about how lifting is just too much for one guy to handle blah blah blah. Well then he started talking about how people make those “tinfoil boxes”, and it turns out those work? He really told us some good ass info about ba$$ pro and other stores in the mall

For everyone’s information:

The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.

To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.

On the 17th, dead silence.

People are saying log off but what they really mean is don’t open the site or the app.

But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.

What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think ‘oh everyone’s gone let’s shut down.’ What it actually makes them think is ‘oh shit people aren’t happy and if people don’t keep using our site we’re out of money and out of jobs.’

A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.

If you want to join in, here’s what to do:

Do:

Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th

Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad

Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion

Come back on the 18th and check in

Don’t:

Delete the app from your phone (this doesn’t affect their revenue and since it’s off the store at the moment it’ll be hard to get back)

Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and don’t use it you’re saying to staff that there’s still time to save it. If you delete it’s hard work to come back.

Open the app or website (including specific blogs)

Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)

Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.

Remember: the execs don’t care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means there’s $0 further income from it. That’s their last possible course of action. If we make it clear we’re not happy, they’ll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.

Protests take commitment. They’re a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because they’re scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.

How To Deal With Parents When You Lift

- CHANGE THE APPS PICTURE: Remember Cocoppa that app where you can change an apps icon USE IT if your parents make one wrong click and they see “How To Lift From Ulta” they’ll most likely know what’s up. *If I were a parent and I saw a kawaii calculator I’ll think nothing of it.

-KNOW YOUR PARENTS: If your mom knows what Fenti is and sees you have 13 of the same foundation ( they aren’t cheap) she’s probably going to be sus but if she has no clue what KVD is it’s going to look like you bought it from Wallmart or the $ Tree. *Don’t assume that you can be sly and hide them, really do you NEED naked that bad when you can get narz.

-BUY STUFF WITH THEM: I get that every once in a while you just go shopping to look around but if you constantly make them drive you somewhere without buying anything you will make them sus. *One thing that parents hate is when you send them places and you don’t get anything seriously guys don’t be afraid to buy a $4 pen when you can walk out with $200 worth of copics. 

-ORDERING MAGNETS AND HOOKS: Most minors have to ask their parents if they can buy stuff online but when your ordering magnets or hooks that can raise red flags. *If you really need this have someone who can buy them for you or say its for a science project science is know to make you buy weird stuff so it gives you a better excuse.

-HIDING STUFF IN ONE PLACE: When everything is hidden in one place like under the bed or in the bottom of the closet and your parents are sus that can make their suspicion clear. *If you killed someone would you hide the body in your backyard no. So why does lifting get special treatment leave a basket of non lifted makeup in plain sight and put high end lifted makeup in a hidden place and put ONE or TWO high end makeup in that cheap basket to alleviate suspicion.

-BRAGGING TO YOUR FRIENDS: Lets say Becky told Mary (who’s a mommy’s girl) that you lift. Mary tells her mom this heinous crime you have committed and Mary’s mom (lets call her Jane) tells your mom (lets call her Steph). Now you’re in trouble because Becky and her big mouth told Mary. *Don’t trust your friends unless they lift even then you can’t be sure. Make up excuses on why you’re wearing gucki don’t let them know it’s better safe than sorry.

-HAVING A REPUTATION: If your parents know that you snuck out to a party or did drugs. Do you really think that they’ll be surprised to find out that you lift..NO. *Try to be good, get good grades, help out at home, save a cat from a tree, anything that can paint you into being a great person.

-GETTING A SURPLUS OF MONEY: Guys this tip is very important if you boost you’re playing a risky game if all of a sudden you’re making $100 and have no way to explain how you’re getting this they’ll probably think your dealing drugs which is worse than boosting. *this need no tips

Safety Lifting:

Okay I want everyone to know not to give out any information. I know you guys probably trust other lifting blogs, but remember someone can always make a lifting blog just to get information from us. 

So here’s the story;

I was doing some research and decided to google “Shoplifting” and a lot of REAL articles popped up with tumblr blogs that are really popular and known throughout the lifting community. (Articles contained screenshots and all.) This scared me a lot because anyone can see these articles. Just because your tumblr won’t pop up when searched doesn’t mean people still can’t find a way to find it.

1. Be aware of when taking pictures of your hauls. DO NOT have all of your rooms showing just in case someone can identify your room. Try to take pictures of your items with solid colored backgrounds or sheets. 

2. Never give out your phone number, name, location. 

3. I would also recommend not giving out your age if you are over 18. You never really know who is on to you so for all you could know is someone could be investigating and counting up all your stolen goods.

4. Don’t describe stores that you stolen at too well. For example, Costco isn’t in every state, so don’t say I just lifted from Costco and then went across the street to Wet Seal. Believe it or not it is not hard to narrow down where the store is located.

I’m not trying to cound paranoid but always remember the key is making sure no one can connect the blog back to YOU!

I'VE SAID THIS BEFORE BUT...

I’m just going to say it again because the last time that I posted this; I only had like 50 followers, at the most.

-ALWAYS do your research. You absolutely need to if you plan on shoplifting. Google your states shoplifting laws.

-Google “(insert location) shoplifting (insert year)”, if you aren’t coming up with anything, insert “news” onto it, to make sure that no camera footage was posted of you. Most areas will post a picture of you from their security cam if they suspect that you took something. I will explain why they do this. Say that you have a hook or magnet to remove tags. What do most of us recommend that we do with the tags that we’ve removed from clothing? We put it on something else that we aren’t lifting, mostly onto things that are already tagged. Which leaves items with 2 tags on them. If you’ve been to this store multiple times and they notice double tagged items every time that they’ve seen you in the store; they’ll connect the 2 together and sometimes, will post a picture of you onto news sites and ask for someone to identify you so that they can “ask some questions”.

Someone that I know got caught a few months ago because of this. She had been lifting from a store about once every 2 weeks or so. She double tagged Northface jackets and blue jeans then hung them back up. Someone purchased that same Northface jacket that day and the SA saw that it was double tagged and notified security because they had been having this problem for a while now. Security had also been notified once prior to that and saw camera footage of my friend picking up a Northface along with several other things and going back to the dressing room. They couldn’t just send out a picture of her just because she happened to try on a Northface, but once they saw her face again doing the same thing, they did. They also noticed that a blouse was missing from the stack of things that she was carrying. So, they sent her picture out to our local news. Me nor her knew about it and she went to that store about a week or 2 later and an SA called security and they watched her very closely and had 2 LP follow her out. They had her come back in and wait for the police to search her and she got caught with about $50 worth of stuff. They also got her for the cost of the blouse, which added up to be 75 dollars. She got off the hook with probation and a fine. She doesn’t shoplift anymore.

So, try to find items that aren’t tagged and put the tag that you removed onto that item. Try to refrain from double tagging (if you can). If you HAVE to double tag, only lift at that certain store about once a month so that they don’t catch onto you.

HOT TOPIC EMPLOYEE ANTI-LIFTING PROCEDURE

So today I went in Hot Topic thinking I might lift. Didn’t, because the manager was training a new hire and used me to show her all the procedure on how to count items and how dressing room stuff works. Which was annoying bUT BOY DID I LEARN A LOT MY FRIENDS DO I HAVE SOME INFO FOR YOU

So we all know that most Hot Topics don’t give a fuck really, they often dont tag or count really, few cameras, etc.

WELL apparently that’s just because the SAs are usually super lax about the policy, NOT because they do not have an actual policy. They just tend to rarely actually follow it, and only really do when their manager is there.

THEIR OFFICIAL but rarely used POLICY IS:

They’re supposed to take the clothes from you to count, then hang them up themselves in the room so they know exactly how many.

No accessories allowed in.

No more than five items allowed at a time, the rest can be held up at the front.

And THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I LEARNED:

IF THEY SUSPECT YOU OF SHOPLIFTING, THEYRE SUPPOSED TO LOUDLY TELL THEIR MANAGER THE NUMBER OF CLOTHES YOU HAVE. SO IF YOU HEAR A HOT TOPIC SA SAY A ‘RANDOM’ NUMBER, YOU BEST DROP THAT SHIT

IMPORTANT: This isn’t to cause any alarm, since Hot Topic is usually still the easiest freaking store to lift from, BUT this is to explain why some SAs are weirdly on your ass while most of them don’t bother, AND what the shoplifting suspicion code is. And as a reminder, that even the ‘easiest’ stores can be annoying af and not to take their easiness for granted with every location. Yo welcome ma dudes

LIFTING DISGUISE TIPS ✨✨

OUTFIT ✨ okay basically go for the complete opposite of what you’ll usually wear, but still look basic - probably sounds confusing but that’s my fault, basically think this everytime you’re picking out a lifting outfit : if I go on the news, I want people to think ‘that doesn’t look like [Y/N]!’ If you usually wear crop tops and shit wear something that’s more Nana style or conservative - vise versa (I suggest to always bring some kind of coat or jacket with you - even a fucking flannel or light cardigan if its hotter) wear something different each time you lift from the same place, or just in general. I can’t stress this enough

If you have itty bitty tiddies stuff your bra, if you have big ol tiddies try to make them look smaller or wear something that doesn’t do them justice lmao (I often wear lose fitting clothing). Change this up too!! Go once with huge boobs then again with no boobs.

MAKEUP ✨ -fRECKLES!! freckles can drastically change a persons face, if you don’t have any - draw them on and cover your face in them!! Mine usually end up looking like acne but that’s fine! They’ll look for someone with excess acne and that’s not me ((: I use a brown eye pencil or brown eyeshadow or eyebrow shit to dot it on my face - blend it a little so it looks more natural then go over it with a translucent setting powder.

- EYEBROWS!! eyebrows also drastically change your face (: if you have thin or invisible brows tHEN LUCKY YOUUU!! Make them any colour you want, change the shades each time. Arch them differently, play around with thickness (: just make your eyebrows darker and thicker than what they naturally are. If you want to make them look natural then fill them in a little messier and mess up the hairs.

-CONTOUR!! your literally changing your facial bone structure … fuck it upp, go above and beyond!! Make it look like your a completely different person

-fALSE LASHES!!! again, go above and beyond ! make it look like they’re not your eyes

-FOUNDATION use one that’s a shade lighter or a shade darker than your actual skin tone. Get a fake tan/tanner if you can or if you want to!

Put fucking moles and beauty marks on your face lmao idc just look different!!

ACCESSORIES✨✨ - Fake nose ring (no septum or anything that’ll bring attention to you! Just a plain boring ass hoop on your nose) if this fits in with your aesthetic then yay! But if you feel it looks out of place on you then skip it (:

-Glasses ! Again this can drastically change someone’s face. Wear different glasses each time, or switch it up if you just have two pairs. Go without them sometimes then the next time go with them on

HAIR ✨✨ -Part it differently each time

- Go once with it up then the next time have it down (do different styles with it up, braids, buns, ponytails, idk what else lmao)

- Make it a different texture/style each time. Curl it, krump it, straighten it

- fake bangs or get them out of the way

- If you have wigs use them!! 100%

- Extensions if you have them !!
