To say the least, he was surprised to actually feel a few tiny kicks when he finally complied and pressed his hand against his girlfriend’s belly. His brow furrowed in confusion, and he blinked and shaked his head in order to clear his thoughts. “I..Yeah, I can” His gaze shifted from his hands to her, his brow still furrowed “Doesn’t that freak you out?”
Lila snorted, rolling her eyes and shaking her head. She was, of course, beaming from ear to ear, as one hand cradled underneath her slightly swollen abdomen and the other rested on the small of her back and she watched Reid interact with the fetus growing inside of her womb. It was, well, endearing. He could be so puzzled and analytical over a pregnancy. Everything felt so simple and natural to her. "No." She said simply, shaking her head and causing her blonde curls to shake wildly around her slightly fuller face. "It's comforting, Reid. That's our baby." She's cooing. She's absolutely e n a m o r e d. It's like she was born to be a mother, the devotion she'd already shown to changing her diet and quitting drinking cold turkey. Even the social cigarette had been cut from her regimen. "Isn't it wonderful?"

The mun is here to say that I'm normally only mobile or using my cell phone's wifi hotspot. My phone charger is being extremely finicky and I don't know when I'll get a new one. In truth - he hated hospitals. There was always that heavy presence of death hanging over the entire building, and the smell of antiseptic assaulted the senses of anyone who entered. So, it was no wonder why the first thing out of his mouth when the injured agent woke up and saw someone sitting beside his bed was a panicked “Please don’t leave.” A few moments later, when he was fully awake and had gotten a good look at the person beside him, he was - to say the least - embarrassed. Despite her calming words, the smile he gave in return was sheepish. “Thank you, Lila”
She can't help but answer him immediately, her blue eyes huge and excited to see him, as well as relieved she was safe. They'd only been seeing each other for a few weeks now, since she'd moved to Virginia after deciding to take on a role on a show that was going to be filmed on location. A coffee here, lunch there. "You're welcome. Are you okay? I'm surprised Penelope called me. I mean, I'm glad she did, but I didn't figure I took priority like that.. I'm so glad you weren't hurt too bad." She feels bad and feels like she's been talking forever. "Morgan tried to eat your jell-o. I saved it for you." She grins at him and tries not to seem as upset as before. After all, it's a bit odd for her to be so p r o t e c t i v e. They aren't even exclusive.

"Well, actually, no."She sighs and plays with a lose threadon her blouse, avoiding his eyes for along time before looking up at him withinnocence shining in her baby blue hues. She's doing this to guilt him, ofcourse. "I miss you. I know you can't like, miss work.. and I'm not you know, asking you to.. I just would like to see you more."She wasn't sick, just a little sad.
"You win. Are you happy now?"
She frowns at him and shakes her head. "No."She sighs dramatically, blonde curls bouncing around as she has her own silent mini-tantrum. "I know you let me win. I don't want you to let me win. I want to beat you at Chess on my own, Spence."
