Why I think Sara Lance is one of the best written character on Arrowverse
1. She has personal and heroic development. When we first see her for real she is the bad ass Black Canary, but she wasn’t always have been so tough and we see glimpses of her past where she is scared little girl or a flirty normal girl.
2. She is not perfect. She made many mistakes and she comes out as selfish but also she will put her life in danger to protect the ones she loves, so she is multi layered.
3. She is not the jealous type and never makes her relationship to define her
4. She had complex background story involving a lot of possibilities for story development. She was on a ship with Ivo helping him to create a cure for all mankind, and she was part of an international ancient assassin organisation, and both phases in her life are material for spin off shows.
5. She is written as a good leading character but also works so well in a big casts and big teams.
6. She has many relationships developed with multiple other characters and these relationships are very layered and complex.
7. She is very good in both comedy and tragic situations
8. She had relationships with other very interesting and complex characters
9. She is not the perfect captain, she makes mistakes but she always puts her team’s safety as priority and knows how to use their abilities
10. She is amazing in the fight scenes, and her action scenes stand out
11. She has chemistry with almost everyone she is in a scene with
12. When she walks in, she steals the scene
13. Her character has a big journey and still walks a difficult path, battling with many responsibilities and personal drama and losses
14. We have seen many versions of Sara Lance
15. Her character lifts other female characters up, she is a defender of women
