FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION (2027) dev Square Enix
They'd be married for years and have a kid too and still sneak around between meetings to make out.
staying up really late is comforting. the world stops expecting things from you. it’s just quiet for a while.
Mammu! Finius and Ferbingetorix built Rome in a day!
I feel like this also implies that rome is somehow being destroyed by the end of the day
The Emperor Constantine loves Finius and Ferbingetorix's "New Rome" so much that he makes it his new capital and names it after himself.
Yeah that checks out.
What's the doofenschmirtz contraption/scheme of the day?
Doofenric the Ostrogoth (insert jokes about his daughter Vanessa being "Goth" but in the modern sense) invented a City-Mover-Inator to move Rome across the Danube so his Germanic confederation could sack it.
Thankfully, Agent Pericles stops him by redirecting the Inator to Finius and Ferbingetorix's New Rome instead, moving it to the Bosphorus.
While Pericles and Doofenric are fighting over the controls of the Inator, it gets accidentally changed to paint remover mode and then fired at a random direction.
Somewhere nearby a painter just finished coloring the statue of the emperor when suddenly all the paint gets removed.
Painter: Aw...
Painter, giving it a second look: Hmmm... 🤔
Candysseia: What animal even is Pericles?
Finius: We named it "platypus", meaning flat-foot.
Ferbingetorix: On account of his feet being flat.
Candysseia: And where did he come from?
Febingetorix: We have no earthly idea.
Doofenric the Goth: Pericles the- wait, what animal even are you, Agent Pericles?
Pericles: *hands him papyrus*
Doofenric: *reading* A "platypus", meaning flat-foot... oh, on account of your feet being flat!
To be clear, the Emperor Constantine looks like Roger Doofenshmirtz.
Also, I agree with everybody who says that Greco-Roman Candace's name should be Candassandra (since nobody believes her warnings).

i always find that exposure therapy is decent for when you don't like something in a show/film.
for example, i think that mai/zuko is some lazy ass storytelling that takes away from both of their characters.
however, i figure if i read enough maiko fanfiction i will grow to like it.
i have no shame in forcing myself to like a creative choice i am a star wars fan i have much experience avatar the last airbender atla mai zuko maiko although i do believe maiko ending up together is a very weird choice because it seems like she was supposed to represent the life that zuko thought he wanted but realised he didn't want and then turned his back on i think it was a last minute change when they debated over doing zutara this is not about me being a zutara i don't like zutara diet reylo
I think Mai represents not the princely life but the Fire Nation itself. He has to leave the Fire Nation behind to seek true honour and the destiny he has decided upon. And then he comes back, to lead the Fire Nation onto the same path. Her choosing to take him back again when he returns represents the Fire Nation accepting Zuko. And, crucially, her appearance in the epilogue scene in the Jasmine Dragon with the rest of the Gaang symbolises Zuko bringing the Fire Nation with him into the Avatar's vision of a world where all the nations can be friends.
It's also great personal growth for Mai, as she gains not only her lover back but a whole new healthy friend group and new interests. Look at her in that tea shop. She's enjoying playing Pai Sho with Suki; she's involved, she's joining in, she's part of them all. She doesn't have to be the perfect, suppressed daughter or the obedient minion here: she can complain about her representation in Sokka's drawing like all the rest of them without fear of punishment or emotional blackmail.
I don't normally get invested in romantic relationships in fiction. But it was that epilogue, Mai not drawing Zuko away from the group or being ignored, but being drawn into the group and accepted, that made me think 'these two, yes'.
Ozai represents the life Zuko thought he wanted not Mai. He couldn't just go home and hate everything about it, be bored and sulk by himself. He would't need to sacrifice anything when he went and joined the Gaang. He would be like "finally I'm out of that horrible place where everybody hated me, my summer at FN sucked balls", but no, he had a nice time when he was hanging out with his girlfriend who is probably one of his favourite people alongside uncle Iroh and his mum. And wouldn't it be kinda sad if Zuko ended up all alone after the coronation when all of his loved ones go live far away from him and he doesn't have anyone in the Fire Nation?
lady mai (and zuko too)
