But, WELCOME!! _(:3 」∠)_
Drawing is my livelihood and the urge to draw ALWAYS acts up when I actually have things to do (aka. I’m not very active but want to keep doodles and stuff hereeee!)
Illustrations are my holy grail but animations, comics, doodles (maybe requests or fanfiction in the future…) are also my alley!

DNI LIST
Please don’t interact with my blog if you are one or more of the following:

So it’s just another day on tumblr when a beloved mutual suddenly DMs you (or a random stranger) claiming that someone impersonated you and has scammed them out of (insert money amount here it changes often) be it art or crypto or because of content related to CP. They tell you they’ve accidentally reported you by mistake and that the only way to clear up this issue is to contact someone on discord,Microsoft teams, or a random email account. They even show a screenshot claiming your account was reported for fraudulent activity and action must be taken within 24hrs or else your blog will be terminated. You just need to contact the “official” report dispute discord account in a timely manner and clear everything up or contact the ‘official’ Microsoft teams account!
You panic! You don’t want to lose your blog so you immediately DM the discord account (or the Microsoft Teams account) who begins asking you questions before ultimately asking you to change your email address to theirs so they can ‘fix’ the flag on your account. All is well, and you assume that the false report is going to be cleared up…Right?
Unfortunately no. That’s not what happens.
You get locked out of your account and now the scammer logs in as you and starts to send the same message to anyone and everyone they find. The same message that now you accidentally reported the receiver and you need them to contact the same discord account to repeat the same process over and over again and you yourself seem to have no way of accessing your blog to stop the phishing. But don’t fear! You can fix this! Just contact the real support email and let them know you’ve been hacked and give them any information they may ask to confirm your the real owner of the blog.
Here are things to keep in mind:
- There is no official report dispute discord account ran by tumblr that isn’t a thing and has never been.
- Any discord account claiming to an official tumblr report dispute staff account is a scammer.
- You do not need to ever contact Discord for a tumblr related issue no matter how official the screenshot looks.
- This scam can affect anyone, even your friends. Keep them informed and if you can contact them offsite to let them know they’ve been hacked please do so they can get their account back faster.
- Reports are handled through the official tumblr tech support line and will never be through discord. (Link is to tumblr help center)
- Support center is not: Gmail,yahoo,outlook,Microsoft teams,discord,etc.
Concept for fanfic that never came to light, where White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie are transported into a human world of a specific fandom, have existential crises of being human, try to find each other and eventually have to face each other’s beliefs.
But lost motivation after… BeastYeast 16 (I think…?).
The Subtler Flambae & Robert Parallels from Episodes 5 & 6
These episodes were HUGE for the Flambae and Flambert enjoyers in several big ways (the gym scene, the fight flashback, the karaoke scene, the reveal, the flirty voice lines, the housewarming party), which have been celebrated by plenty of people and which I won't belabor here. But there was one thing we learned which struck me as even more unifying as a shared experience of theirs. ANOTHER facet of their characters which ties them together.
Namely, the fact that Robert and Flambae were both maimed by the Mecha Man suit.
As we see in Episode 5, Flambae lost two of his fingers to Mecha Man's beam sword while Robert was trying to apprehend him. And as we see in the comic, the chunk missing in Robert's right ear was from a childhood accident ("tinkering" in the shed with/near the Mecha Man suit? as an 8-10 year old...? 🤨) where the suit misidentified Robert as a threat, and it shot at him. Robert only survives because Chase intervened, and even Chase still wasn't fast enough to prevent Robert from taking a hit. ): In fact, Chase says he thinks he dislocated Robert's arm while whisking him to safety—THAT'S how fast he'd been. And it still almost wasn't fast enough.
In the aftermath of what must have been a terrifying experience, and a painful one, given the still-bleeding ear injury, Robert's father doesn't offer any sympathy. He tells him "Get up," while Robert cries in Chase's arms. The panel where he's looming over Robert... 😰 I don't want to make any firm assertions that Robert's father outright hit him or anything, but I think the comic artists knew what they were doing, and the framing of those two panels is suggestive of it, to say the least. But even if there's nothing more to read into than an unaffectionate parent, the lack of concern for his child, immediately prior to the incident and even after Robert nearly fucking died, when the accident was a consequence of DAD'S negligence in the first place, is decidedly chilling. Chase is clearly more of a father to Robert than his real father ever was, and that's never been more apparent than it is in this sequence. (Which is a real kick in the teeth after Episode 6... Adhoc you devious bastards... 😭)
So Robert was forced to learn to be hyper-independent and never rely on anyone. "Get up," after nearly being shot to death by your father's suit that's supposed to protect you. "Get up," with a dislocated shoulder. And the last page of the comic seems to suggest that Robert hears "Get up" whenever the suit goes down, and he has to drag himself out of it and put back together the thing that almost killed him.
In Robert's reality, failure means scraping yourself off the pavement and dealing with it on your own.
This is a world where failure, an already miserable and alienating experience, is punished with still greater alienation, and the specter of paternal disappointment.
From this parenting style, Robert learned his hyper-independence, and his singleminded commitment to the only thing he thought would make his father proud: inheriting Mecha Man's legacy. His sad unfurnished apartment demonstrates that his dedication to his work as Mecha Man has clearly taken its toll on his ability to his enjoy life. His tendency to bite off more than he can chew feels implicated here, too—like he has to be the one destroying himself, making reckless choices, and pushing himself beyond what he's capable of, just because he's certain he can drag himself out of the wreckage afterward. "Get up," like failure is as unforgivable as it is not an option. Not forever, anyway. Eventually, he has to get up. And if he doesn't, he'll die in that suit. He tells Blonde Blazer outright that he always thought that would be his fate. Bro is a bit too passively suicidal for me to be convinced he's fulfilled by this life.
I think Shroud knew the Mecha Man suit represented an escalation of force—that it was a dangerous weapon which almost killed a child when it was just sitting there, that it could maim people in a single tragic instant. That it could be dangerous in the wrong hands. That maybe it shouldn't have been in anyone's hands. I think that must be why he killed Robert's father.
Fear makes people dangerous, and Robert is someone who's lived his whole life afraid. He fights like a cornered animal. He spent his entire adulthood as Mecha Man trying to tame a machine he could never fully trust not to kill him. He continually modified the suit—the article which mentions his fight with Flambae seems to suggest the flight capabilities and heat resistance are new features—as if convinced that if he made his armor strong enough, his weapons uncompromising and deadly enough, then he would never have to be hurt or afraid ever again.
This is, of course, a deeply antisocial, self-destructive, and maladaptive worldview. But this is all Robert knows.
Of note in the fight with Flambae is that, despite the player knowing at this point that he's a sassy backtalker, he doesn't say a single word. This touches on something interesting about these two I've mentioned in a previous analysis post: a failure to communicate. To summarize, twice now in conversation with Robert Flambae has been interrupted, and I interpreted this as a deliberate writing decision meant to exemplify some kind of obstacle in their communication, which we'd learn more about later. Now that we've seen their first fight, I'm only more impressed with Adhoc's writing, because Flambae being silent just feels so fitting.
It's unnerving to see Flambae silent—but it's not Flambae I find most unnerving in this scene.
It's Robert.
Because Robert enters the arena saying, "The damage has already been done. I just want a conversation." Which makes him seem like a good, reasonable guy. He just wants to talk, right? But idk, this feels like cop talk that is not to be trusted??? We KNOW he doesn't JUST want a conversation. He wants to take Flambae to jail. So no, of COURSE Flambae isn't going to dignify this with a response. The suit is a WEAPON, and while I'm not suggesting Robert should have opened the cockpit up and made himself vulnerable, it is UNREASONABLE and A LITTLE RICH to do the mech suit equivalent of pointing a loaded rifle at someone and saying you "just want to talk :)". Even if Robert DOES just want to talk, that's not a possibility while he's in the suit. Because every step he takes in that thing is a tacit threat. As we've established, it's a threat when it's just sitting there.
For his part, Flambae is fighting a new and improved version of Mecha Man, and he doesn't know how many more upgrades that thing is packing. It's withstanding temperatures nothing else can. It's flying when it never has before. What else can it do? How many more dangerous new capabilities is its armored shell concealing? Can he survive it? What's the alternative here? Flight? Capture? Surrender?
There are a lot of subtleties in an exchange like this, and a lot of context we're missing. We know this started because Flambae was trying to rob a bank, that the fire spread, that Mecha Man moved DOZENS upward of a HUNDRED civilians to safety before reengaging with Flambae. Why did Flambae wait there for him? Was he unable to escape the building without being apprehended by someone else? Why give Mecha Man time to move the civilians? Why bother engaging with him when he came back to the mall/parking garage/whatever? A cop even tells Robert it's "not worth it"—but he goes back in for Flambae's ass anyway.
Part of it seems like pride preventing them from doing otherwise. Neither of them seem the type willing to walk away from a fight. But as the fight progresses, I think their motivation changes, and they both become deeply afraid. Flambae doesn't want to go to prison, and he has no way of knowing how many more new toys Mecha Man might whip out—so he ups the ante, bears down on Mecha Man with a flame meant to penetrate and obliterate. Meanwhile, Robert has spent his whole LIFE afraid. Fear is what the suit is meant to keep OUT. And Robert's shield is melting. He gets desperate. And all of a sudden the guy who withstood every punch he threw, who tossed Mecha Man around like a beach ball is inexplicably vulnerable to a massive beam sword, and loses two fingers for it.
Dispatch is a setting where powers come with drawbacks. Everyone has an Achilles' heel. Blonde Blazer can't get drunk. Invisigal can be invisible as long as she holds her breath, but she's asthmatic. Phenomaman is a powerhouse of phenomenal cosmic power, but he's also an alien, completely out of his depth with human relationships, the fallout of which heavily handicaps him with depression. Waterboy can't seem to stop leaking everywhere.
And Flambae is a bit of a glass cannon. In fact, the game has been practically shaking us by the shoulders and telling us since Episode 1 that Flambae is not invulnerable to all harm. The player cannot complete the scene in Crypto Night without disfiguring him. His skin can't burn—but apparently his eyebrows can, and he can still lose his teeth, his fingers. Flambae gets so irritated when the team are talking shit the day after his run-in with Mecha Man at Crypto Night that he starts a fire about it. Waterboy throws out his lunch, and Robert throws food at him, and this clearly upsets him. His in-game abilities give him massive boosts after a successful mission, but levy steep penalties for failure, either injuring him or dropping his stats to ones all around.
For Flambae and Robert, failure is not an option. And someone seemingly impervious to harm—whether it's because they're wearing a several ton metal suit of armor, or they're invulnerable to fire—can still be hurt in other ways. No matter how many walls you erect to protect yourself from harm, there's no impervious shield to protect your pride, your dignity, your self-esteem, your peace of mind, your hopes and dreams, the things you cherish, or your loved ones. Only by opening yourself up to the mortifying ordeal of being known, of connecting to others despite the fear and the danger, can you make having those things while they last truly worthwhile.
And that is precisely what the Mecha Man suit prevents. It blocks Robert off from the world. It keeps him separate and isolated from others. From a narrative perspective, it keeps trying to kill him. Robert can't stop locking himself in the cradle-casket of generational trauma alone with the nuke made by his father's killer. He's playing Russian roulette with that suit, and Flambae has a point when he gives him that reality check—the Z-Team needs him, and trying to do solo hero shit is going to get him hurt. Ultimately, I think Robert will have to abandon the Mecha Man suit to continue finding fulfillment with the Z-Team.
But god. The fact that it's FLAMBAE who helps him when he takes on too much weight in the gym... I just can't fucking deal with it. Here's Robert, stewing Byronically in the past and biting off more than he can chew, AGAIN, and up strolls Flambae to smirk and scold him and take the weight of the world off his shoulders. The fact that it's Flambae who throws Robert a lifeline and brings him back to the present, who gives him a reality check... The fact that it's the Flambae of the PRESENT DAY rescuing Robert from the specter of both their pasts exemplifies more than ever that Flambae has changed—or that Robert has? That they can actually fucking talk now! That their relationship CAN be repaired!
There is also, it seems to me, a clear and undeniable parallel between Chase's beef with Invisigal, and Robert's beef with Flambae—not least of all because Flambae shows up the INSTANT Invisigal storms out of Robert's apartment. And at the end of Episode 6, Chase sets his prejudice against Invisigal aside—albeit with tragic consequence.
So here's hoping Flambae and Robert can make even more progress fixing their shit without one of them dying!! 🥲🐦🔥🔥✨️
