“Yeesh. There’s no need to yell so loud.” Natsu said as he picked at his ear, his enhanced hearing causing that shout to momentarily disorient him. “Besides. I was totally in the right. You were being way too lazy. You’re a Mage, aren’t you? Don’t you have work in a guild or something?”
He could smell the magic radiating off of her. It was a bit more potent now than it was when he first encountered her, probably on the same level as some of his guild mates. And from the way she reacted to the water, it was clear she was experienced in combat, at least to some extent.
Wait a tick. Mage? Guild? Just what was this guy going on about? It was this sort of worldly jargon that had always gotten her a little confused when she was world-hopping just over a decade ago. Sure, she was told by her master to not reveal the existence of other worlds, but she had never really bothered to hide the fact that she was a magic-wielding warrior woman that beat things up with a key. No, in fact, she reveled in it. Even though she hadn’t really changed much physically in the twelve years she was locked in that dark hell, she was a far cry away from that quick tempered woman who struck first and asked questions later. It was a little disorienting, honestly, thinking back to her past.
Nowadays, she mostly just wanted to nap. She was pretty done with fighting after having to do it pretty much non-stop just to save her own life.
Donald’s voice echoed in her ears, as well. Some days after that battle, he had gathered the group together and made this whole seminar thing about the World Order and how you had to hide the existence of other worlds and magic and all this other stuff. Honestly, she couldn’t understand a single word the duck said. She got the gist of it all from the slides he was displaying on a- okay, she can get this one right- Power Point? Yeah, that was it. Her Gummiphone has something like that too. Or perhaps had is the more appropriate word.
On the other hand. Donald wasn’t her master. Neither was Eraqus. She was studying under Sariel. And he had no rules.
“You could say I am a Mage, though I doubt we speak of them in the exact same context. As for your guilds, I... have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m not from here. I ended up at the edge of that forest when I crashed my spaceship.” Was it really honest to say spaceship? Close enough, she supposed. It got the point across better than saying ‘glider’.

magister-ludicro:
“Never heard of him.” Natsu replied bluntly. “Name’s Natsu and frankly you’ve been sleeping in my bed for long enough. Lucy was nice enough to let me stay at her place for awhile.”
Okay maybe that was a lie. He sort of just made himself at home on her couch. Y’know, as usual.
Either way, this girl looked like a zombie and the only way he could see her waking up fully was his secret weapon. Which he had already prepared before hand just in case this situation went down.
He reached down beside him and picked up a bucket of ice water that he proceeded to pour on the girl’s face.
He wasn’t that fussed about getting his bed wet. With his magic, he could dry it out easily.
“Never heard of... Ven?” Damn. If it was taking her that long to process his comments, it was certainly going to take awhile to properly wake up. Good thing that Natsu had his coup de grace ready and waiting before she could utter even more than a sentence. She had only just processed the name of this pink haired guy when he dumped the bucket of chilling water right on top of her head.
And it did make her wake up, but at what cost? The moment the chilling liquid touched her skin, her eyes shot wide open and a panic set in, triggering a frigid aura that only seemed to make the water freeze into ice atop her skin. You know, making it even worse. She practically jumped through the roof, flinging herself out of the bed and landing on her ass just ahead of it. Whether she was turning red because of her creeping embarrassment at this situation or because she reaching new levels of instant anger, she had no idea.
Well, if the heat radiating off her, sublimating the ice into gas on contact, was worth anything, then she was certain one of those emotions enough to generate such power.
“NATSUUUUUU!”
Heh. It was a little like that night Terra and Ven had tried to prank her with the finger in the warm water drink, only her her to Thunder their butts.
Though in this case, Natsu seemed far more resilient to her anger.

magister-ludicro:
“Last I checked, it wasn’t my fault.” Natsu muttered to himself as he trudged through the forest, hands in his pockets as flames danced around him. Just because he had gotten a little angry and maybe burned down half a town didn’t mean they had to punish him by making him partake in community service and clean up the surrounding forests. “I mean. How can it be my fault when the other guy started it? And to think, I’m out here while Happy and the others are partying. I’ll totally get Erza back for this, dammit!”
And that’s when he tripped over something, causing him to go flying and slam his face on the ground. Or at least, he would have had he not reacted quickly enough and stopped his fall by extending his hands out and flipping forward, landing perfectly on his feet before turning around.
“What the hell is it now-” He began to shout, only to realize that he had tripped over someone rather than something.
His right eyebrow rose as he knelt down to check on the person. People just didn’t take naps in the middle of the forest. Well, people not named Gildarts anyway. To his relief, she was just sleeping but he couldn’t very well leave her out here. Not with the sky looking the way it was. And that’s when a grin crossed his face.
“I can’t get in trouble with Erza if my excuse for skipping community service is helping her!”
Yeah! He could both be a decent guy and help himself at the same time. This was a great development for him!
“Alright then!” He said as he picked the slightly older woman up princess style without much effort at all. “Let’s go!”
—
“Hey. Sleepy head. Wake up.” Natsu said as he poked the blue haired girl on the face. “You’ve been out for an entire day.”
Turns out, he couldn’t use her as an excuse after all. Especially since she had spent so long sleeping that he had time to finish his goddamn community service anyways. Talk about a lazy bum. Maybe she really was a Gildarts-type of person.
“Hey. Sleepy head. Wake up. You’ve been out for an entire day.”
Ven? Is that... you? I... can’t quite... hear you... please.. talk louder...
Her barely conscious form shifted, eyelids gummed together with sleep to the point where simply waking up was not in the cards. She let out a low, rumbling groan, trying to roll out of the way. Mmm... it’s so warm here... so soft... maybe I can sleep for a few more... Hmm. That was odd. It took a second to realize, but the heat wasn’t coming from the bed. It was coming from something else. Turning toward the source, she managed to just barely open her eyes to find what was certainly not a something, but a someone.
“Ven? Is that...”
With a great deal of effort, she lifted her eyelids fully and began to take in the atmosphere of the quaint little room she was in, finally settling on the pink haired male that was standing next to her head.
“You’re not Ven.”
Hm. If that was the best she could say, maybe she did need more sleep.

Perhaps piloting her glider into deep space wasn’t the smartest idea.
It had started as a test. A race, even, to see if her keyblade glider could stand up to the likes of the Gummi Ships that Sora, Riku, and Mickey all seemed fond of. In hindsight, she realized exactly why those massive ships of interconnecting Lego-like blocks had their benefits. The first one had to be the inclusion of a cockpit. Which she didn’t have on her glider. She just kinda. Stood there. Rode that thing like a ‘waverunner’, or whatever Kairi had called it when she showed the red head the trick just a few days ago.
And that’s how Aqua ended up floating around in God Knows Where, Space. Well. She did accidentally drive into an asteroid and crash so hard she lost consciousness, but that’s beside the point. All she knew was she had a slim idea of where she was, and then she didn’t. When she woke up, all she could see was vast emptiness, not even the blue rocks she had crashed into were present. So wherever she was, it was most likely far off course of the known worlds.
It was certainly nowhere she recognized.
Letting out a low groan, she applied a weak Cure to herself to help stem the pain and glanced around her. Her glider must’ve destabilized when she crashed, but she could just summon that back as a keyblade. At least her armor stayed on. Unlike her old set, this one took on the same silver coloring as her new keyblade. It even had these fancy designs on its seems that looked a bit like fire or lightning. Hmm... did it have the same elemental qualities of her weapon? If she had time later, perhaps it could be worth studying.
“Where am I...?” she managed to mumble, her voice muffled by the visor covering her face. Which thankfully activated, pulling up a map of the area. She had been smart and worked with the others to devise a program that would let her download some of the apps on her Gummi Phone to her armor’s visor. Speaking of which. Where had she put that thing?
Shit. She left it in the cup holder of her glider, didn’t she? Damn.
She probably lost the phone on impact.
Of course. Right when I escape that place, I end up somewhere else new, dark and friendless. At least she hadn’t nearly killed her best friend this time around.
And hey, plus side. She wouldn’t be getting any requests to play Words With Friends with Donald. She had only loaded the necessities to her visor. Like the seven ‘gatcha’ games she owned. And a gps and a few other things, of course. Which were, thankfully, enough to point her toward the only world she could feasibly see within the area. And, as exhausted as she was, it as probably the best place for her to go.
Even if the gps itself had no idea what she would find there.
***
This world, she had to admit, looked very pretty at night. She had ended up in some sort of woodland area outside of what appeared to be a sprawling town, but the walk through her landing site to her current location had taken a lot out of her. If she had to guess, she was either too weak from the crash or this planet was somehow heavier. Either were a definite possibility.
“...Many worlds, but they all share the same stars...” She had heard that phrase uttered to her once or twice when she was young, and looking at the twinkling sky had reminded her of it. Were these stars the same as those over her homeworld? Since Sariel had given her that album, she had wanted to find it again. This trip, this race out in deep space... It wasn’t just for that, no matter what she had told herself. It was a fool’s errand, she realized. Trying to find a world that was consumed. But she had to. Something in her told her that her home as still out there, somewhere.
“I’ll find it... one day...” she whispered to herself, an everlasting promise, just crossing into the town with heavy steps. “Just let me...nap... firssssss.”
THUD.
Welp. So much for first impressions.
Along The Coast
iwillreturntothisland:
There had been a time when Terra hadn’t needed a clock to keep track of the time. The Rhythm of Land of Departure had felt natural to him. Now, as he slowly got used to walking those halls again, it was all starting to come back. He knew that world, its sun and daylight.
Sometimes it all felt like a dream, like the handful of memories that didn’t feel quite right because they hadn’t been Terra’s. More often than not, however, Terra could bask on the joy of being alive again. It was as humbling as it was exhilarating. There were times that something as simple as being able to open a door had him unable to hide his smile.
As he saw the world the room was showing, the smile didn’t so much falter as become something softer, more serene. It had been an eternity since he’d set foot there but oh, did he remember.
He took a moment to laugh to himself, to take Aqua’s hand and sit by her side, to listen to her words.
“I kept wanting to ask you why your hair was blue.” Terra admitted, not long afterwards. “But I was terrified it wouldn’t be polite and you’d get angry.”
It wasn’t hard to look back at that day and do so with fondness. Their problems had been small and their dreams big.
“What can I say,” he added, glancing at Aqua with the same fondness he felt at his memories, “young me wanted a friend to train with, he was nervous.”
A small, teasing smile cracked the corner of Aqua’s lips. “Back then, my hair was so long...” Early on in their training, she had resolved to become a fearsome warrior, and she couldn’t do that when every time she looked in the mirror she saw her mother. The two shared the same long, flowing blue hair and blue eyes. But while she could not change her eye color, she could change her hair. She had cut it down to its current bob, both to show her own desire to change and to avoid the issues her long hair had incurred before, such as being an easy target to grab or it getting in the way of her keyblade.
“I remember you eventually asked me why,” she snickered a little bit, “and it was so adorable that I couldn’t help messing with you. I told you it was blue because it holds so many secrets, and you believed me for like. An entire year.”
Younger versions of them appeared on that beach the two overlooked, Present Aqua’s eyes sparkling on the verge of tears. Young Aqua and Young Terra were embroidered in conversation, having given the chance to explore the kingdom of Corona while their master completed some shopping. It had been the first time the two were able to speak together, alone. They were so young and naive those days... they had not a care in the world. She could remember it, plain as day, playing in her mind the memories that the room had deigned to show them.
***
“So, you’re Master Eraqus’ other apprentice...” The young blue-haired girl twirled a lock of her hair around her finger, seemingly trying to appear nonchalant and not nervous out of her mind when striking up conversation with this boy one or two years her senior. She hadn’t been sure of just how much older than her he was, but he certainly moved with the stride and courage of one who had already been a fighter. She was just starting and hadn’t even managed to call up a keyblade.
***
Part of her wanted to interrupt, to remind her younger self that everything was going to be okay in the end. But that would have done little good. They were nothing but shades created by her memories and the power of this castle. She could watch, but she could not intervene.
A Meeting in the Market
When Skuld heard speaking close to where she was, she turned to see what was going on. Needless to say that she was surprised to see someone in town with a keyblade. Or at least that’s what she had heard the key looking swords were called when she asked Lea about it. Although it confused her on why someone with a keyblade had shown up in town to begin with.
The raven didn’t move from where she was standing since she was unsure about the other. Not only because of the fact that they could use a keyblade but also because she had never seen the other before as well. Due to what she had gone through ten years prior it was hard for her to even get close to people she didn’t know to talk to them and even find out what they were wanting. It had taken her a good month of being back in Radiant Garden to talk to everyone at the shops.
So she just stayed standing at the stall where she was without moving from her spot while she stared at the other watching her.
Perhaps it wasn’t the most conventional use of a keyblade, but Aqua was simply satisfied with being useful. It was a novel concept, in some ways, using her powers for more mundane things. And while she probably would not have bothered to, say, teleport to the kitchen instead of walking twelve feet, she was certainly going to try to make better use of the unlocking abilities of this sacred weapon. Maybe she could finally open that pickle jar she had failed to open twelve years ago.
As it stood, Radiant Garden was a very peaceful place, one she reasoned she would certainly want to return to every so often. While it could not beat the tranquility of Destiny Island, it definitely had its own charm that few other worlds could contend with. The simple homes, the outdoor market, the contentedness of the citizens... Radiant garden was a lot like her home world, as far as she could remember. She had flipped through that photo album of hers that Sariel had somehow managed to recover for her, but her memories still seemed a little- how would Xion say it? Swiss-cheesed. Nevertheless, she could see how this place would remind her of her village, Replito.
It was just a shame that it had been so long since she had seen the place that, aside from the pictures, she held barely any memories of the place.
As she turned to leave with her purchases, her bag laden with extra fruit as a thanks for her services, she couldn’t help but notice that someone seemed to be staring at her. A girl with raven hair...
do you allow magic anons
Put simply, depends on the magic anon. Magic anons for the sake of magic anons are pointless and stupid. If a magic anon can help me do something for Aqua as a character that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise, or presents a funny situation, then I may very well do something with them. If you, for example, wanted to just make Aqua turn into Anti-Aqua I would promptly say no because there’s no point in that. They are the same people in my eye and my Aqua has accepted that part of her.

A Meeting in the Market
stellafate:
Skuld had been glad to be back in Radiant Garden. Especially since she now called it home even after what had happened to her over ten years prior. The world was the only one that she knew and was the only one she could consider a home for the time being since she was no longer somewhere that she would feel like a prisoner. And that was something that she was absolutely grateful for. To no longer be a prisoner to someone or of a world.
Since it was currently a nice day out, Skuld was wandering around the market. Mainly because she wanted to see what all was available and also so she could try and find some things she could use to make herself dinner for the night. Especially since she was still trying out some of the recipes that were in a cookbook that she had bought recently.
The raven eventually stopped in front of a stall to look at the options that it had to offer. Thinking over what she could do with each ingrediant that she saw in front of her.
Life was simple for Frank Fruits, owner of Frank’s Fresh Fruits, the premier fruit stand in the Radiant Garden marketplace. He would wake up every morning, hobble out of bed, kiss the picture of his long dead wife, and head off to work in the small little stall they started when they were young. But he was getting on in years and it was increasingly easier for him to misplace things. Perhaps he needed to change his spectacles? They weren’t that helpful anymore.
The small set of glasses that rested on the bridge of his long nose left his vision a little blurry, which had caused his early frustration at the loss of a key to a chest that contained some of his nicer wares. Someone must have heard his outburst, as he quickly received an offer to help. Now, Frank was a rather short man as well, so he had to look up a little bit to address the blurry figure holding a large key-shaped thing. This woman... man? With the shorter hair and the blur, it wasn’t clear, seemed insistent that their blunt instrument could be used to open a lock.
“Well if you insist, my boy, feel free to use this ‘keyblade’ of yours to help me. Come to think of it,” he started, twirling his ruff little beard, “I think there was a boy thank helped out Arnold- you know, Arnold of Arnold’s Average Accessories not too long ago. Saved him from those Hertlasses, yes he did.”
It seemed that Sora had been here. Perhaps some time before his Exam? That she could not be certain. Regardless, she was happy to offer her services. Especially for something simple and mundane. As much as she enjoyed fighting, this War had taken a grave toll on her and aside from her own training she wanted to rest. Now she just had to never admit that out loud, or else fate itself would probably find some way to attack her with a swarm of Heartless.
