an afternoon nap on the couch after a long day. he hadn't even meant to fall asleep where he had. the tv created a pleasant constant noise that blanketed him away. he hadn't heard his messenger arrive. he hadn't even felt the flower placed upon his head. he would wake to the same world he'd left a half hour prior, but internally he'd know that things were just a little bit better
